The federal government says it will prioritize direct funding for community groups under Canada’s first ever federal LGBTQ2S+ “action plan,” stating that they are the best-placed organizations to identify and deliver the support needed to address “persisting inequities” and improve the wellbeing of LGBTQ2S+ individuals in this country.
Through the plan, the government is also pledging to study emerging criminal justice issues such as HIV non-disclosure; adopt the usage of the “more inclusive” 2SLGBTQI+ acronym; and launch an awareness campaign aimed at combatting discrimination.

Specifically, its ‘Media & Comms’ team was asked if they could find a real-life British fighter ace to join Cruise at one of the media events scheduled around the film’s glittering premiere in Leicester Square. In late April, an RAF publicity wallah named ‘Sarah’ therefore emailed officials at RAF bases, looking for someone to take on the job.

These families will also have access to shelters and lodging, and the city will prioritize school bus “routing for all students in temporary housing.” The city also says it will coordinate with its Department of Youth & Community Development “to prioritize after-school enrollment for students/ families impacted communities.”
Under the “Vaccinations” section, the plan stated that the government will “link these families to [Federally Qualified Health Clinics] and health centers not just for immunizations but also for on-going pediatric care.”
The city advised families, “As a reminder, students in temporary housing are excluded from immunization requirements as part of their right to immediate enrollment.”

OTTAWA – A federal research unit detected what might be a Chinese Communist Party information operation that aimed to discourage Canadians of Chinese heritage from voting for the Conservatives in the last federal election.
The Sept. 13, 2021, analysis by Rapid Response Mechanism Canada, which tracks foreign interference, says researchers observed Communist Party media accounts on Chinese social media platform Douyin widely sharing a narrative that the Conservatives would all but sever diplomatic relations with Beijing.
The report, obtained by The Canadian Press through the Access to Information Act, was prepared just a week before Canadians went to the polls.
