David Johnston’s lead counsel on foreign interference probe attended Trudeau fundraiser in 2021

The lead counsel for special rapporteur David Johnston, who oversees the government-appointed probe into Chinese foreign interference, has not only donated exclusively to the Liberal Party but also attended a private fundraiser where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was the guest of honour.

Elections Canada records show that Toronto lawyer Sheila Block participated in a private Zoom webinar fundraiser in late March, 2021, billed as a “Virtual Conversation with Anita Anand and Justin Trudeau.” Ms. Anand, now Defence Minister, was minister responsible for public services and procurement at the time.

Trudeau Foundation Has Investments in Chinese Companies Flagged for Security Risks, Says Former Board Member

The Trudeau Foundation has investments in Chinese companies Baidu and Tencent, a former board member told MPs on a parliamentary committee. Both companies have been subjects of security warnings.

The Trudeau Foundation was created with a $125 million endowment from the federal government in 2001 in memory of former prime minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau, to provide grants and academic scholarships.

Liberals accuse Tories of ‘hijacking’ Parliament after threatening to filibuster

OTTAWA – Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is threatening to use procedural tools to delay passage of the federal budget in the House of Commons if the Liberals don’t meet his demands.

But Liberal House leader Mark Holland says the federal government won’t cower over the Tory threats.

“We will continue to work through their juvenile tactics. They can ride tricycles, through Parliament if they want to. But we will get the work of Parliament done,” Holland told reporters Monday.

Garbage in light of the generational damage Trudeau has done to this country.

Feds Polled Canadians on What Made Them ‘More Likely’ to Receive COVID Shots Months Before Mandates Implemented

The federal government conducted a poll asking Canadians what made them more likely to take COVID-19 shots months before mandates related to the vaccines were enforced, records show.

The survey, conducted from May 5–12 of 2021, was Ottawa’s attempt to mine data using the World Health Organization’s “Behavioural Insights (BI) Tool” to support its efforts in “promoting the behaviours recommended by public health experts” during the pandemic.

Special Crony David Johnston will testify before Parliamentary committee as resignation calls continue

David Johnston is set to appear at a House of Commons committee investigating claims of foreign interference as calls continue for his resignation as the government’s special rapporteur.

The 81-year-old former governor general will be at the Procedure and House Affairs Committee (PROC) for three hours on Tuesday, beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern.

This will be 3 hours of “How dare you impugn my integrity” mixed with “That information is unable to be released to the public” and “China been berry berry good to me.”

India among top actors for foreign interference in Canada: national security adviser

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s national security adviser says India is among the top sources of foreign interference in Canada, a public designation Ottawa has largely limited to authoritarian states.

“When I talk about foreign interference and economic security, I’m now talking about a number of state actors and non-state proxies,” Jody Thomas said last Friday.

“This includes Russia, Iran, India. That said, the actor that comes up most on these issues, and it’s no surprise to anybody, is China.”

India doesn’t surprise me. Justin’s embarrassing vaction is justification enough.

Communist China and Pakistan both back the Khalistan movement supported by Jagmeet Singh so you know where his loyalties lie.

Just one more reason for India to be suspicious.

Much of the sermon, delivered last December, was devoted to a trans student at a Christian university in nearby Hamilton who had died by suicide a few weeks earlier.

“If you’re going to live a lie to the point where you’re willing to mutilate your own body, it’s going to send you into dark despair,” Reaume said.

Of course the nations public broadcaster is firmly on the side of child sexual mutilation fetishists.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is defending his party’s decision not to make its motion calling for David Johnston to step down as special rapporteur binding and says an election does not “make sense” if the goal is protecting Canada’s democracy.

Canada sticking with 2050 net zero targets, but progress may come faster than expected, minister says

Natural Resources Minister Jonathan Wilkinson says the federal government is not ruling out finding ways to achieve net zero sooner than the existing 2050 goal, but would not say whether there would be a definitive commitment to move up the target.

The government’s current target is to hit net zero emissions — the point at which the amount of greenhouse gas emitted is equal to the amount that is removed from the atmosphere — by 2050, a goal shared by the other G7 countries. But in March, a report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change prompted United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres to encourage developed countries move up their net-zero timelines to 2040.

… The most heinous example of this racket is the way the government has subsidised the wood-chip burning (“biomass”) of Drax to the extent of many billions of pounds. This Yorkshire-based power station company does not burn a single British tree among the 27 million it gets through a year. It imports all its wood chips — mostly shipped in colossal diesel-powered vessels across the Atlantic from forests in Canada and Louisiana.

As I wrote here in February: “The CO2 ‘chimney emissions’ in the process are not recorded in the UK’s carbon accounts . . . they are on the American and Canadian carbon balance sheet.” Crazier still, more than £6 billion of subsidies have been funnelled to Drax — it would not have a viable business model otherwise — on the basis that its contribution to the national grid is “carbon neutral” because these millions of trees are replaced by newly planted ones that will absorb carbon in the atmosphere as they grow.

Chinese Warship Nearly Hits U.S. Destroyer in Taiwan Strait

Footage has emerged showing a Chinese warship almost colliding with a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Taiwan Straits as tensions strain between Washington and Beijing.

The video, published by Canadian outlet Global News and widely shared on social media, shows the Chinese vessel approach the U.S. ship and passing within 150 yards of the destroyer.

Senators Oh and Woo Play The Race Card Against Foreign Agent Registry in Canada Calling It Anti-Chinese

Senators Yuen Pau Woo and Victor Oh have ramped up efforts against enacting a foreign agent registration act as the Canadian government considers the legislation to combat foreign influence.

Both senators brought up the issue again at a conference that marked the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Immigration Act, held at the Splendid China Mall in Scarborough, Ont., on Saturday, May 27.

The act, introduced on July 1, 1923, is commonly known as the Chinese Exclusion Act, as it resulted from an effort to stop Chinese immigration, stated a May 30 federal government news release recognizing “the national historic significance” of this legislation.

Not trusting these two for some reason.
