Germany is facing an alarming rise in rape cases. In just five years, the number of reported assaults has increased by 49.5%, surpassing 12,000 per year. And yet, the institutional and academic response does not point towards a serious analysis of the causes or reforms that would effectively protect women. Instead of addressing the factors driving this violence—such as massive and uncontrolled immigration—the reaction is a grotesque distraction: proposing “trap condoms” with internal spikes designed to injure the attacker’s penis.

Spain’s far-Right party Vox has vowed to deport around eight million people if it wins the next election.
This week, party leaders said they wanted to remove all people of foreign origin who have not adopted Spanish customs – a shift from their previous position of only deporting those in the country illegally.
Rocío de Meer, Vox’s spokeswoman for demographic emergency and social policies, said the policy would mean expelling “millions of people who have recently come to our country and have not adapted to our customs”.
Shooter killed in attempt to ambush Border Patrol agents in Texas
An active shooter armed with tactical gear and a rifle opened fire upon Border Patrol agents as they arrived at a Border Patrol annex facility in McAllen, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley on Monday.
Agents and local police returned fire and killed the gunman. No federal agents were hit, but one McAllen police officer was struck. Law enforcement sources say the officer is in stable condition.

“Of course we want to stop the migrants,” he said, as we sat in a cafe. “But we know that they will keep trying and trying and that in the end they will all get through.”

Usual suspects try to storm Portland ICE detention center
Chaos erupted at an ICE detention facility in Portland, Oregon after hundreds of protesters attempted to storm holding cells.
Demonstrators were seen being tackled to the ground as officers deployed smoke bombs and tear gas to try and control the crowd yesterday.

With his immigration bill, Canada’s prime minister is bowing to Trump
There are many stereotypes about Canada – that we are a nation of extremely polite people, a welcoming melting pot, and that we’re the US’s laid-back cousin who lives next door.
But right now, Canadian prime minister, Mark Carney, is bucking all of that lore after pressure from the US in the form of Donald Trump’s “concerns” about undocumented migrants and fentanyl moving across the US-Canada border. In response, the recently elected Liberal PM put forward a 127-page bill that includes, among other worrying provisions, sweeping changes to immigration policy that would make the process much more precarious for refugees and could pave the way for mass deportations.

Chaos on French shores as ‘people trafficker’ is seen WHIPPING terrified migrants as they scramble to board boat bound for the UK
Migrants were whipped by apparent people smugglers and a desperate mother with a baby hauled onto a dinghy amid extraordinary out-of-control scenes in France this morning.
The Mail beat French police to the shore at small-boat hotspot Gravelines beach at 5.30am, where large groups of migrants were running the mile down to the beach to reach the waves.
The group, all young men, were up to their knees in the water as a dinghy emerged from a canal into the sea, and turned back to the shoreline towards them.
Migrant Channel crossings hit a record 20,000 in six months
More than 20,000 migrants have crossed the Channel this year, setting a new record high for the first six months of a year.
In June 5,170 migrants crossed the Channel in 80 boats, which was also a record month for this year. Home Office figures showed Border Force picked up 879 people in 13 dinghies on Monday, the third highest number of arrivals on a single day this year as people smugglers took advantage of record high temperatures and calm conditions in the Channel to ferry people across.
It made the annual tally so far 19,982 in 343 boats — but hundreds more followed on Tuesday, taking the total to more than 20,000. The Home Office will publish the precise number to have crossed on Wednesday.
