Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin may not escape prosecution for one of the three charges against him for causing the death of George Floyd, but contrary to public opinion, the case against him is not cut and dried. Though radio stations have solemnly gone quiet for nearly nine minutes to remind Americans of the time Chauvin had his knee on Floyd’s neck, Black Lives Matter fire-setters and looters with their violent antifa allies burned parts of American cities in retaliation for his death, and cops were forced to kneel, it turns out there’s a lot we didn’t know about the case.

Virginia lieutenant governor sees backlash for comparing calls to resign over sexual assault scandal to ‘being treated like Floyd’

Virginia’s black lieutenant governor, Justin Fairfax, ignited criticism after appearing to equate calls for him to step down amid accusations of sexual assault to the death of George Floyd in police custody.

Fairfax left many of those following the Virginia Democratic primary debate on Tuesday night scratching their heads after he portrayed himself as the victim of racial discrimination, and compared his situation to those of Floyd and Emmett Till, a teen who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955 after he was accused of offending a white woman.

Police Chief admits Chauvin’s knee was on Floyd’s shoulder blade

Under cross examination, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo was asked by Defense Attorney Eric Nelson if he was familiar with the term “camera perspective bias.”

When showed the video of a different angle, from a body camera showing the seconds prior to medical personnel arriving, he agreed that Chauvin’s knee was on the shoulder blade of George Floyd and not the neck.

The lie that George Floyd was murdered by racist police officers in Minneapolis has made its way around the world several times over, leaving countless violent riots and more than $2 billion in property damages in its wake, but it seems that the truth is finally putting on its shoes.

In June of 2020, 60 percent of surveyed adults deemed George Floyd’s death to be murder at the hands of police officer Derek Chauvin.  As of last month, a little more than a third of Americans believe that.

Cause of death at issue in Chauvin trial as prosecution questions medical examiner’s findings

Prosecutors trying the former Minneapolis police officer charged with murder in George Floyd’s death appeared to distance themselves last week from the medical findings on his cause of death, issued by the only doctor who performed an autopsy.

Special Prosecutor Jerry Blackwell told jurors last Monday that while Hennepin County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker ruled Floyd’s cause of death cardiac arrest, prosecutors would prove he died of asphyxia, or, lack of oxygen, while Chauvin knelt on his neck for more than nine minutes.

“This was … not a fatal heart event,” Blackwell said in his opening statement. “He died one breath at a time over an extended period of time.”

Minneapolis ‘on edge’ over outcome of Derek Chauvin trial, says Islamist 5th Columnist Ilhan Omar

As the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd headed into its second week, the Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar said residents remain “on edge” about the outcome.

On Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union, Omar was reminded that few trials involving police officers result in conviction, and asked: “Are you and your city prepared for the possibility of a hung jury or a not-guilty verdict?”

“The community is on edge about that,” Omar said. “We have seen justice not delivered in our community for many years. I think that there is a lot of confidence in [state] attorney general Keith Ellison and the prosecutors in this case, but we are all eagerly awaiting to see how this trial shakes out.

Black Lives Matter protesters break windows, vandalize cop car and disturb diners eating at Manhattan’s Balthazar restaurant

Protesters disturbed diners at a Manhattan restaurant on Thursday night and broke windows of the restaurant’s outdoor dining setup before vandalizing a police vehicle.

Six plexiglass windows of Balthazar were smashed in their outdoor dining room around 9:40pm.

A photo posted by the NYPD also shows damage the protesters did to a cop car in the area.

George Floyd struggled with opioid addiction: girlfriend

George Floyd’s girlfriend said Thursday that both struggled with opioid addiction for years — and said Floyd relapsed shortly before his police custody death on May 25.

Courteney Batya Ross, 45, also testified at the murder trial of ex-Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin in Floyd’s death that he was a changed man after his mother’s death in 2018.

Derek Chauvin’s supervisor testifies he wasn’t told immediately of knee on George Floyd’s neck or for how long

Derek Chauvin’s supervisory sergeant told jurors Thursday afternoon about the immediate aftermath of George Floyd’s death as news of the incident spread through department administration.

Third Precinct Sgt. David Pleoger fielded concerns through 911 dispatch on May 25 about possible excessive use of force by officers while detaining Floyd, and his initial assessment was that it sounded more like a less serious “takedown,” according to dispatch audio from that night. He then headed to the scene while questioning Chauvin on what happened.
