Sarah Silverman, Dozy Bint

The dreamy, mixed up, unfunny comedian who rambles about Israel and BDS.

Sarah Silverman is a stand-up comic who makes much, in her routines, of being Jewish. It’s part of, it’s a major part of, it’s far too much a part of, her shtick; what isn’t about being Jewish is about sex. I find her treatment of both topics distinctly unfunny. She is critical of Israel in an offhand, careless sort of way; she repeats what she’s heard elsewhere, without looking into the matter herself. Lots of people she knows “support BDS” (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) so, in her ditzy way, she does, too. She does not understand the real intent of that sinister movement.

Spoiled Rotten: Students at the United Nations International School denounce their teachers as “racists” and “oppressors.”

Last year, students at New York’s elite United Nations International School launched an anonymous social media campaign denouncing the school’s teachers and administrators for their “vast history of systemic racism,” “white liberal racist thinking,” and “direct, intentional, repeated racial trauma.” The students threatened to “cancel” their “oppressors” through social media shaming. Administrators immediately caved to their demands.

CSIS warns Canadian universities about Alibaba’s online platform

Canada’s spy agency warned Canadian universities in August to be wary of using Chinese technology, including a service offered by e-commerce company Alibaba to help students based in China take online Zoom classes in this country.

Alibaba, which has come under close scrutiny from China’s ruling Communist Party after its billionaire founder, Jack Ma, ran afoul of President Xi Jinping, provides an accelerated virtual private network server so students in China can attend Zoom classes without lag. Alibaba’s “Alibaba Global Accelerator” service is marketed as a solution to avoid network congestion and reduce delays in communication.

Highly-contagious UK COVID-19 variant will become dominant in Ontario by March

Highly-contagious UK COVID-19 variant will become dominant in Ontario by March

A highly-contagious coronavirus mutation first found in Britain will become the dominant strain in Ontario sometime in March, provincial modellers predict, narrowing the room for error as the province enters a period of sustained case decline.

Ontario Science Table Co-Chair Dr. Adalsteinn Brown told reporters it is now only a matter of time before the B.1.1.7 coronavirus variant becomes the dominant strain.

“Perhaps most worryingly the new variants of concern of the mutate SARS-COVID-2 virus are clearly spreading in the community and will likely be the dominant version of the virus in March,” he said on Thursday afternoon.

Canada falls to 20th in the world for vaccine doses administered

According to data collated by the University of Oxford-based Our World in Data, Canada now ranks 20th globally, well behind allies like the United States and the United Kingdom but also middle-income countries like Poland and Serbia.

Xi Twists Biden’s Arm at Davos The Chinese president pitches his vision of globalism to the world.

Xi Jinping’s kick-off appearance at the winter Davos week this Monday had a simple message for newly inaugurated President Joe Biden: bring America back into the fold, or suffer the consequences.

The speech, which opened and closed with World Economic Forum (WEF) Chairman Klaus Schwab heaping praise on Xi, was the Chinese president’s first appearance at Davos since he spoke there in 2017.

Did the BLM Protests Against the Police Lead to the 2020 Spike in Homicides?

Did the BLM Protests Against the Police Lead to the 2020 Spike in Homicides?

Bottom Line…

“…And crimes have victims. While I mourn for dead fellow citizens of any color, a sad and absurd reality of both post-Ferguson and summer 2020 violence is that a great many of those killed unnecessarily were black Americans. In Chicago, 81.8 percent of those murdered in 2020 were African Americans, while 3.9 percent of victims were white. The simplest possible sort of number-crunching shows us that, assuming consistent rates of homicide by race, the Windy City’s vertical move from 481 to 748 deaths by violence cost 218 black lives inside one year. Assuming that murders nationwide increased only by 35 percent from 2019’s total of 16,425 and that only 50 percent of these new victims were black, the equivalent toll country-wide would be 2,874 dead black folks, including horrifying victims such as hero cop David Dorn and little eight-year-old Secoriea Turner.

The numbers speak for themselves. The ideas advanced by Black Lives Matter may be popular and “woke,” but they are also very often the worst possible policies for those of us who actually want to preserve black, and other, American lives.”

Hey, WHO! Do a real Wuhan probe: Devine

Finally, the World Health Organization has sent investigators to Wuhan, China, ground zero for COVID-19, to begin the belated search for the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.

Today they will emerge from 14 days of quarantine. They should go straight to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where high-risk research, funded by US taxpayers, was being conducted into animal-to-human transmission of bat coronaviruses, a few miles from where the first COVID-19 cases were discovered.

More pressure on Prince Andrew over Epstein

More pressure on Prince Andrew over Epstein

Prince Andrew is mentioned repeatedly in newly unsealed Ghislaine Maxwell court filings, with one lawyer claiming Jeffrey Epstein wanted Virginia Roberts to have sex with the royal.

The Duke of York, 60, is mentioned in evidence given by Andrew Figueroa, the ex-boyfriend of Ms Roberts, who claims she was ordered to have sex with Prince Andrew three times at Epstein and Maxwell’s behest when she was 17. But the royal strenuously denies the allegations.

The court documents also reveal that Maxwell claimed she could not remember a trip to London where Roberts allegedly slept with Prince Andrew.

America needs to know the truth about Biden family’s corrupt deals

America needs to know the truth about Biden family’s corrupt deals

A president takes office amidst charges of family corruption and shady business dealings with a country connected to interfering in the very election that put him in the White House. Sound familiar?

The false narrative that Democrats concocted to hobble the Trump administration four years ago is now the real deal with Joe Biden and his family. And unlike President Trump, who faced unprecedented institutional resistance and Deep State resistance, President Biden can likely count on the Justice Department and the media to allow him to escape meaningful scrutiny.

David Staples: Canada should retaliate on Keystone by building its own new pipeline

U.S. President Joe Biden shut down Keystone on his first day on the job, a rude message for Canadians but one that we can turn to our advantage.

We are a bit player in their national drama, the Biden administration is reminding us. We’re to be ignored and discriminated against as Washington sees fit.
