Canada sending aid to Taliban-run Afghanistan a ‘dilemma’ for leaders, experts say

Canada is facing a “dilemma” when it comes to providing humanitarian aid in Taliban-run Afghanistan, experts say.

On one hand, aid is needed to help Afghans who are facing an economic collapse, food shortages and a crumbling health-care system.

On the other hand, Canada wouldn’t want to provide aid that would help strengthen the Taliban, said Aurel Braun, professor of international relations and political science at the University of Toronto.

Bullshit. Trudeau loves slopping our money out to 3rd world shithole states. I swear he earns points on his PC Optimum card linked to how much of our cash he can waste.

Kelly McParland: Is it time for the Tories to break up with Alberta?

Perhaps it’s time for the Conservative party to part ways with Alberta. Sit down on the couch, engage in a frank discussion about the relationship, and agree that it’s no longer working out the way both parties had hoped. Taliban won’t commit to allowing girls to return to high school in Afghanistan

Afghanistan’s foreign minister appealed to the world for good relations on Monday but avoided making firm commitments on girls’ education despite international demands to allow all Afghan children to go back to school.

Almost two months after the former Western-backed government collapsed and insurgent forces swept into Kabul, the new Taliban administration has pushed to build relations with other countries to help stave off a catastrophic economic crisis.
