Are Israel and the Arab States Allying Against Iran?

U.S. strategy in the Persian Gulf since World War II has fluctuated between “offshore balancing”—relying on local powers to maintain stability—and “onshore balancing” through direct military engagement.

Since the U.S. invasion of Iraq, the Obama, Trump, and Biden administrations have sought to revive the first strategy in order to reduce U.S. military casualties and refocus the United States on the challenge posed by a rising China.

Hunter Biden’s close relationship with the assistant to China’s ‘spy chief’

One of Hunter Biden’s working relationships was with a man Hunter characterized as China’s “spy chief.” That’s why it’s concerning that he allowed the secretary of that same “spy chief” to occupy so much of his time and give him advice on personal and political matters. Even without evidence of an affair (making her the rare woman Hunter may not have bedded), his lack of judgment and the fact that this happened so close to Joe Biden’s orbit is concerning.

The Perils of America’s Woke Military

The high – and destructive – cost of Marxism’s infusion into our Armed Forces.

Last week we shared the disturbing news that the Sergeant Major of the Army recommended our soldiers apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), aka food stamps, to keep up with the growing inflation. I find it unconscionable that we are sending billions of dollars to foreign nations, but our troops are being told to sign up for assistance to afford food.

But this is just a small example of what is happening for our military. The perilous infusion of cultural Marxism into our Armed Forces is far more dangerous.

The Guardian is picking sides in the Leicester riots

Leicester – Multicultural Vibrance

The outlet has failed to acknowledge the role of Islamism in the conflict

The events over the past few weeks in Leicester and, more recently, Smethwick have drawn attention to an under-discussed ideology: Hindutva. This is a system of beliefs that encompasses three elements: 1) Hindu rashtra (nation), 2) Hindu jati (race) and 3) Hindu sanskriti (civilisation), which was crafted in the early 1900s. In essence, it is designed as a way of life for Hindus, devout and non-devout, as well as atheist Hindus.

Germany’s Greens reject nuclear plant extension beyond winter

It’s beginning to look a lot like Weimar!

German Environment Minister Steffi Lembke said on Wednesday that the energy crisis meant it was “reasonable” to keep two nuclear plants running for three months beyond their planned closure, but that she rejected any further extension.

The Green politician’s remarks contrast with the stance of coalition partners the Free Democrats (FDP), who favor an indefinite extension to the usage of nuclear power in Germany amid the predicted energy supply shortage in winter.

Legault says accepting more than 50,000 immigrants a year ‘suicidal’

Coalition Avenir Quebec Leader Francois Legault says incumbent Immigration Minister Jean Boulet is no longer qualified to hold that job after Boulet said the majority of immigrants to the province “don’t work.”

Legault on Wednesday was forced to confront the statement Boulet made during a Sept. 21 election debate. The premier held a series of media interviews during which he said Boulet would no longer be immigration minister if the CAQ wins the Oct. 3 election.

Legault and team are getting the message out. Apologies are just the price you pay if you can be bothered at all.

Pressure cooker

John Nuttall and Amanda Korody came to national attention in 2013 for allegedly trying to bomb the B.C. Legislature. Their case ended up revealing one of the biggest police entrapment cases in Canadian history.

When Charlene Thompson left her home in Surrey, B.C. with her dogs on the morning of June 17, 2013, she noticed a white truck she’d never seen before.

The five-ton hauler was parked in an alley near the door of Thompson’s least-favourite neighbours, John Nuttall and Amanda Korody. Thompson hoped she was looking at a moving van.

“It was right by their place and I was like… Maybe they’re moving. Right on!” she said with a laugh in a recent interview.

Upon returning home hours later with a car full of groceries and two freshly groomed dogs, Thompson found police barricades blocking off her street.

Colin Farrelly: When public health becomes a tool of social control

In 1920, the public health pioneer Charles-Edward Amory Winslow (1877-1957) famously described public health as the “art of preventing disease and prolonging life.” Working in public health during the early 20th century, Winslow faced the challenge of combating infectious diseases that caused high levels of early life mortality, like smallpox, typhoid fever, tuberculosis and cholera.

Nolte: Woke Movies Drive September Box Office to Lowest in 25 Years

Thanks to a slate of off-putting, woketard movies, September’s box office is the lowest since 1997.

“With just $275 million grossed in North America to date, this will be the first September since 1997 with a monthly total of less than $350 million, reports the far-left TheWrap. “To date, the running total for September 2022 is 20% behind last year’s pace and 52% behind the pace set this month in 2019.”

Jeremy Mackenzie, ‘Diagolon’ founder and far-right figurehead, arrested

Jeremy Mackenzie, a far-right livestreamer and founder of the de-facto group “Diagolon,” has been arrested on a Canada-wide warrant, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia RCMP have confirmed to Global News.

Mackenzie made headlines this week after he allegedly made a joke about sexually assaulting Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s wife, Anaida Poilievre, and his livestreams have faced close scrutiny by extremism researchers — some of whom have raised the alarm about the content.

The “T” Piggybacking on the “LGB”

Polls make clear that Americans across political persuasions have major reservations about “gender-affirming” care for minors and teaching gender-identity ideology in schools.

Few issues these days inspire agreement among large swathes of voters from both parties, but one notable exception appears to be gender-identity policies.

Last April, a Marist poll commissioned by the organization Do No Harm asked 1,377 Americans about their views on the infiltration of “social justice” ideology into medicine. One question asked whether “minors who identify as transgender and want to undergo hormone treatment or gender transition surgery” should be able to do so “without parental consent,” “only with parental consent,” or not until adulthood (regardless of parental consent). Only 10 percent of all adults surveyed said that minors should be able to access these interventions without parental consent. Twenty-five percent said that parental consent should be required, and 60 percent said minors should never be subject to hormonal or surgical interventions in this context (5 percent were unsure). These findings more or less track with those from a recent New York Times/Siena Poll on (among other things) teaching “sexual orientation and gender identity” content in elementary schools, and it is reasonable to assume that the same people who believe it’s unacceptable for teachers to introduce first-graders to, say, the concept of “non-binary” also think that 12-year-old children should not be given puberty blockers for feeling like they were “born in the wrong body.”

Sussex police berated in ‘misgender’ row over sex offender

The home secretary condemned a police force last night that had warned social media users not to “misgender” a convicted paedophile who identified as a woman.

Suella Braverman accused Sussex police of playing “identity politics” just days after writing to chief constables telling them to reverse the perception that they care more about “woke” issues than tackling crime.
