The United States Should Offer Asylum to Canadian Jews

The United States Should Offer Asylum to Canadian Jews

The United States should open the door. It should offer asylum to Canadian Jews.

Asylum. A real, expedited refuge pathway for Canadian Jews who no longer believe their government can protect them, their children, their schools, their synagogues, or their future.

That is a shocking thing to say about Canada. It should be shocking. Canada is not an enemy state. It is not a dictatorship. It is not a country collapsing into anarchy. It is a wealthy democracy, a G7 nation, and a country with a near-bottomless appetite for congratulating itself on tolerance.

Trump might very well do this simply to spite Carney.

Doctors Without Borders: Promoting Hate Through Medicine

Doctors Without Borders: Promoting Hate Through Medicine

For half a century, Doctors Without Borders enjoyed an enviable reputation. They were known and respected for their work in war zones and disaster areas, where volunteers and employees treated the wounded and sick. Known globally as Médecins Sans Frontières, or MSF, the NGO built its credibility on the principle that doctors are there to save lives, not to wage political campaigns.

That reputation is now largely gone, and like other powerful groups in the NGO industry, MSF has become a major platform for political and ideological propaganda campaigns that often accompany wars and terror atrocities.

Canadian Banks Hold Fewest Mortgages Since 2020, Arrears Near Decade High

Canadian Banks Hold Fewest Mortgages Since 2020, Arrears Near Decade High

Canadian banks aren’t just seeing delinquencies rise—they’re losing market share. Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) data shows the arrears rate was unchanged in March. Delinquent mortgages stalled at one of the highest levels in a decade, after doubling from 2022 lows. However, the big story last month was the drop in the number of mortgages held by banks, now approaching a 6-year low.

The View Blames ALL Men for Democratic Party Nazi Platner Cheating on His Wife

Even when they finally talk about Democratic Party scandals, The View finds a way to shift the blame to someone else. The ABC News show spent part of Monday’s episode trying to make the case for Graham Platner, a Nazi and the presumptive Democratic Party nominee in the Senate race in Maine. According to some members of the cast, men in general were the problem with Platner’s infidelity. Additionally, one co-host still wanted her fellow Democrats to support Platner because “our country is in grave, grave peril” because of President Trump.

PM Carney acknowledges ‘weakness’ in Canadian economy, does not use term ‘recession’

OTTAWA – While Prime Minister Mark Carney acknowledged weaknesses in the Canadian economy, he also defended the federal government’s economic agenda on Tuesday and did not use the word “recession.”

“This government’s been in the process of laying the foundations for a stronger, more resilient, more independent Canadian economy,” Carney said Tuesday when asked directly by reporters in Ottawa about whether Canada is in a recession.

“That process is settling in during that time as we make major investments, major changes to how the government operates, how we do major projects, how we have new trade agreements with other countries.”

Poll shows Ontarians support legislation blocking Ottawa’s gun confiscation

OTTAWA — It’s time for Queen’s Park to holster Canada’s gun grab.

That’s the message the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) is sending to Ontario Premier Doug Ford after a late-May Leger poll showed that more than half of respondents with an opinion were in favour of the Ontario government passing legislation to block the federal government’s beleaguered gun “buyback” program, following similar legislation tabled and adopted in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Nolte: Spencer Pratt or Dystopia — Today Is Do or Die in Los Angeles

Despite all the cheating, corruption, and influencing, America is still a representative republic, as is the failed city of Los Angeles. Sure, Democrats might own the public unions, use NGOs as slush funds, benefit from billion-dollar super PACs known as Hollywood and the news media, and win the wink-wink mail-in voting.

Still, though, when all is said and done, even those individual union members, the NGO employees, and those who work in media and entertainment get to choose what kind of city they want to live in — and today we will find out.

Jamie Sarkonak: How a Jamaican man remained in Canada years after robbing sex workers

In 2019, Jamaican national Dwayne Marlon Douglas committed a number of vile acts. He held a gun to the head of a sex worker as three of his male companions took turns having sex with her; then, he had his way too.

Days after that, he pistol-whipped a man with an imitation handgun, stole his phone and other valuables, and threatened to kill him if he reported the robbery to police. He also robbed a female erotic masseuse in a stairwell around the same time, stealing $4,300 worth of items; after she reported the crime, he told her she was in “trouble.” He also distributed nude photographs of his girlfriend for money without her consent.

“I believe he would have beat Donald Trump in that election,” Jill Biden said in a Tuesday morning interview on MSNow‘s Morning Joe.

Canada considers cancelling part of U.S. F-35 order to buy 60 Swedish Gripen fighters.

Canada considers cancelling part of U.S. F-35 order to buy 60 Swedish Gripen fighters.

Canada is considering a major overhaul of its fighter modernization plan, according to a May 30, 2026, report by La Presse, indicating Ottawa may replace much of its planned 88 F-35 fleet with roughly 60 Saab Gripen fighters while retaining 30 F-35As. This potential shift to a Canada mixed fighter fleet aims to reduce reliance on US defense supply chains and political leverage while preserving core fifth-generation capabilities for NORAD and NATO operations.

‘Like a Klingon prison’: inside Barack Obama’s audacious, near-windowless, $850m presidential library

‘Like a Klingon prison’: inside Barack Obama’s audacious, near-windowless, $850m presidential library

The Egyptians had their pyramids. The Anglo-Saxons had their barrows. And the Americans have their presidential libraries – the chief difference being that the leaders the US venerates are usually still alive at the opening.

Lacking a royal family or a state religion, the US presidency has swelled to fill the void, transforming over the decades into a national personality cult, complete with its own secular temples to these powerful men. The latest pharaonic edifice is about to open on Chicago’s south side, where it looms on the skyline as a towering totem to the 44th president, Barack Obama. He might have seemed humble in office, but in his post-presidential, Netflix-producing afterlife, Obama has erected the largest, costliest and most audacious complex of them all. Behold the $850m Obamalisk – or, as it sometimes feels morbidly like, the Obamausoleum.

Mark Carney had a blithe response to the departure of a star Liberal. Here’s why he may regret it

Mark Carney had a blithe response to the departure of a star Liberal. Here’s why he may regret it

When reporters asked Mark Carney about Steven Guilbeault’s decision to quit the Liberal caucus and his seat, months after walking out of cabinet over the Alberta MOU, the Prime Minister was gracious. He wished him and his family well. As reported by Radio-Canada, Carney said: “C’est sa décision, c’est normal, c’est la vie” — it’s his decision, it’s normal, that’s life.

Carney came to office with a French that even friendly observers called tentative. But a Prime Minister saying “c’est la vie” about a cabinet minister leaving over principle is a careful and deliberate choice of words. There’s no apology in it, no spin. It says: this is what needed to happen in this moment, and yes, people will leave.

Carney is simply a bit smarter and bit more subtle than screaming meemee Guilbeault.
