Belfast, Northern Ireland, was engulfed in violence this week, following the alleged ‘attempted beheading’ of a local man by a Sudanese asylum seeker. Vehicles burned, roads were blocked with flaming bins, and terrified families were led from their homes under police protection. These disturbances follow civil disorder in Southampton, England, provoked by the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak by Sikh man Vickrum Digwa, and the release of truly scandalous police bodycam footage revealing despicable treatment by the cops of a clearly dying Henry.

The vindication of ‘Sophie of Dundee’

So ‘Sophie of Dundee’ has been vindicated. The Scots girl who was so sickeningly defamed by the digital left stands exonerated. ‘Liars!’, cried creeps across the internet when the girl and her friends said they had no choice but to defend themselves from a foul-mouthed, abusive migrant male. Yet now we know they were telling the truth.

The image of this girl that went viral really was extraordinary. The events took place on a street in Dundee in August 2025. A grainy still from smartphone footage showed one of the girls holding up a knife and an axe. Her face is etched with terror. This was clearly a child in distress. Her name has never been released – because she’s a minor – but the internet christened her ‘Sophie of Dundee’.

Good stuff Sophie!

TORONTO – At 5:40 in the morning on June 11, heavily armed tactical officers breached a fourth-floor unit at 15 Martha Eaton Way, a high-rise in the city’s northwest that has been marked by gang gunfire for decades. They were executing one of several search warrants tied to a series of shootings across the city — including the March 10 attack on the United States consulate, an incident American prosecutors allege was directed from abroad by a commander of an Iranian proxy militia. Within moments, Constable Marc Pinizzotto, a 43-year-old tactical veteran and father, was shot dead. A 19-year-old resident, Nicholas Bennett, was struck multiple times by return fire and will be charged with first-degree murder. A second 19-year-old, Zara Jabbi, wanted in connection with the consulate shooting, remains at large.

US officials closer to cracking UFO mystery after locating site of recurring glowing orbs

WASHINGTON — US officials have found a location in the Northeast where unexplained glowing orbs frequently appear in the night sky, bringing experts closer to solving a longstanding UFO mystery.

The site’s existence, reported to the FBI and confirmed by agents, is being disclosed Friday as part of a third tranche of UFO files released pursuant to President Trump’s February declassification order.

The location is not identified in documents, but it is described as being on a secluded pond.

On June 8, Liberal MP for Etobicoke Centre, Yvan Baker, introduced a private member’s bill to declare July of every year as “Somali Heritage Month.”

It should be noted that Toronto’s Etobicoke is home to a large, heavily concentrated Somali population. In June 2024, Baker gathered with “members and leaders of the Somali-Canadian community” to raise the Somali flag at City Hall to “celebrate Somalia’s Independence Day.”

A Canadian mother sued OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, in US court on Thursday, alleging that ChatGPT encouraged her daughter to kill herself. The lawsuit is the latest in a slew accusing the company of failing to address dangerous conversations between users and the company’s chatbot.

Kristie Carrier said in a lawsuit filed in San Francisco state court that her daughter, Alice, told ChatGPT about her suicidal ideations more than a dozen times leading up to her death but that OpenAI’s safety systems never flagged the conversations for human review or terminated them.
