Edmonton Police Service facing backlash over post calling for individuals to report online ‘hate’

EDMONTON — Individuals are criticizing the Edmonton Police Service after the agency made a social media post encouraging individuals to report online “hate” comments and used anti-immigration comments as examples.

“You typed it. Someone lived it,” reads the caption of an EPS post made on Friday. “Online hate isn’t ‘just a comment.’ It hurts real people and harms real communities. Hate has no home here…”

The goal always is to criminalize dissent.

How the Ceuta border crossing incident immediately played into the hands of Spain’s far right … says Open Borders Lunatic at The Star

How the Ceuta border crossing incident immediately played into the hands of Spain’s far right … says Open Borders Lunatic at The Star

It is estimated that more than 50,000 migrants crossed entered the small Spanish enclave of Ceuta in the course of a single day after the border effectively collapsed.

Ceuta, an autonomous city, sits on Morocco’s northern coast. The Spanish government has said almost all of the migrants have since returned to Morocco, and at least 57 have died.

Faced with doubts as to how and why this was able to happen, the public was left with only footage and photographs: people swimming and climbing onto Ceuta’s Tarajal beach, tens of thousands in a single day and night, scores dead.

They didn’t “crossed entered” they invaded.

Yoni Goldstein: Postmodernism is coming to a natural end

Yoni Goldstein: Postmodernism is coming to a natural end

There is no specific date on which to pin the advent of the postmodern age. The term was coined in reference to painting in 1870, and first cited as a descriptor for contemporary social and cultural thought in 1939. In 1960, the sociologist Daniel Bell published “The End of Ideology,” heralding a “post-industrial society” and laying the groundwork for postmodern thought as a guiding light in academia. Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault followed from the mid-’60s, cementing the philosophical base for postmodernism and popular derivatives like Edward Said’s postcolonial theory.

Trump calls Iranian leaders ‘unbelievably duplicitous,’ tells Tehran to make a deal or surrender

Trump’s latest threats came after Iran denied it was in negotiations with the U.S. after the memorandum of understanding signed in June, pausing the war, collapsed in early July.

In a lengthy post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Iranian Leadership is unbelievably duplicitous! They ask for a meeting, some would say ‘beg,’ talks begin, with more scheduled in the immediate future, and they say, openly and proudly, that they’re not having any discussions, that nothing is being talked about, and they’re only dealing with ‘Oman.’

With four vacant ridings, why did Carney call just three byelections?

With four vacant ridings, why did Carney call just three byelections?

Voters in three federal ridings are being courted this summer by candidates hoping to fill vacant seats in the House of Commons.

There are actually four ridings without an MP right now, but only three byelections. Why didn’t Prime Minister Mark Carney call four?

The answer is a bit complicated, but the bottom line is that Liberal strategists would clearly have advised the prime minister that, given the unique political circumstances of the ridings that are currently vacant, the Liberals could give themselves a boatload more money to spend fighting off the Bloc Québecois in one vacant Québec seat by calling three byelections while depriving the BQ of cash it could use by holding off on that fourth by-election to fill a second vacant Québec seat.

Spanish socialist politician called to replace ‘racists’ with migrants and vowed to ensure they were allowed to vote months before 60,000 Moroccans invaded Ceuta

A video has emerged of a Spanish socialist politician calling to replace Spanish ‘racists’ and ‘fascists’ with migrants, vowing to ensure they would be allowed to vote only months before 60,000 migrants invaded Ceuta.

Irene Montero, the former Spanish Minister of Equality and member of the hard-left Podemos party appeared in a video from earlier this year pleading for support from ‘migrants’ and ‘people of colour.’

‘Please don’t leave us alone with all these fascists. We absolutely want you to vote. We’ve managed to get you papers, and now we want regularisation.
