It opened in the city’s Buckhead neighborhood in 2021, with a second location opening up in Midtown in 2023. It’s sort of an upscale-casual place that serves updated takes on Southern dishes.

If the GTA population is up, why are public school numbers down?
Many GTA school boards are reporting declining enrolment, which has forced some of them to cut teaching and administrative positions and slash programming, even as the overall population in the region continues to rise.
In 2025, Statistics Canada reported that the population of Toronto and its surrounding areas had topped seven million, with nearly 300,000 people moving here within the previous year.
Yet, many school boards CTV New Toronto reached out to report a dip in student numbers over the last few years. In the few instances where there were reported increases, those spikes were modest.

Nothing is more amusing than watching people paid to comment on what others do (and I am one of those) smugly assuming they know know best while they underestimate the doers.
Alberta’s pro-Canada movement just got a gift from Donald Trump
Alberta’s federalists have a key asset on their side: U.S. President Donald Trump.
Generally speaking, the wind’s already behind them: If you believe the opinion polling, the separatists are in for a fairly epic defeat in October in Premier Danielle Smith’s referendum about secession.
Ilhan Omar’s office housed inside Somali community center that received redirected Feeding Our Future donations
Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) congressional office is housed inside a Somali community center to which she redirected campaign funds that came from fraudsters now convicted in the Feeding Our Future case.
Omar’s office in Minneapolis is currently co-located within the Sabathani Community Center, a black-led nonprofit organization that provides “culturally tailored services.” In 2022, “out of an abundance of caution,” Omar donated a total of $5,400 divided among three Minneapolis food pantries — including Sabathani, which runs a food distribution center — after the congresswoman received campaign contributions matching that amount one year prior from a pair of Feeding Our Future operatives.
Heather Exner-Pirot: Cutting off oil exports to spite Trump would cripple Canada
Doug Ford is mad, and he has every right to be. While his province suffered from wildfires and evacuations, a lineup of American politicians chose to criticize and politicize Ontario’s response, rather than offer to help. To add insult to injury, U.S. President Donald Trump imposed a new set of unjustifiable tariffs on Monday that disproportionately harm Ontario’s economy.

UWS stabbing suspect’s mom cries out in court, prosecutors reveal son yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’ 3 times during alleged hate-filled rampage
The mother of the maniac accused of knifing a Jewish and Asian man in separate attacks on Upper West Side cried out in court Friday as new details were revealed about her son’s alleged hate-filled rampage.
Raul Morales, 51, looked back into the courtroom gallery and mouthed “I love you, mom” after a judge held him without bail for Thursday’s bloodshed during which he yelled ‘‘Allahu Akbar” three times, according to prosecutors.
His mom, who said “Raul, I’m here,” then buried her head in her hands and wept as her son was ushered out of the courtroom.
Trudeau’s cannabis revolution turns Belgium into narco state
Legally grown cannabis is flooding into Europe from Canada, enriching criminal gangs and helping turn Belgium into a “narco state”.
Farms legalised under Justin Trudeau, the former prime minister of Canada, are supplying smugglers with high-strength marijuana to be shipped into some of the Continent’s major ports, a Telegraph investigation has found.
Record quantities of cannabis are flooding into the port of Antwerp in Belgium, with customs seizing 32 tons of cannabis in the last year alone – a 500 per cent increase from 2024.

‘THERE WILL BE A RECKONING’: Elon Musk says secure borders, safe cities aren’t ‘far-right’
CALGARY — Elon Musk has shot down criticism of his politics, telling the chief editor of The Economist that his positions don’t reflect the “far right” but those of “normal people.”
According to the media, “far right” means:
– you don’t want to get beheaded by a migrant
– you’re against chopping off kids’ body parts
– keep criminals in prison
– dead people shouldn’t receive welfareGuess I’m “far-right” 🤷🏻♀️

Judges Recognise Anti-White Racism in French Teen’s Murder
French investigating judges have added racism as an aggravating circumstance to the cases against all the suspects formally investigated over the 2023 killing of 16-year-old Thomas Perotto.
The decision, announced on Thursday, July 23rd, comes more than two and a half years after the fatal attack at the village’s winter dance in Crépol, in south-eastern France.
According to a source close to the investigation, the judges amended the charges after considering around 10 witness statements reporting remarks hostile to white people at the end of the dance, including: “We’re here to stab white people.”
Stupid Shit Andrew Coyne Says: “Canadian conservatives have a patriotism problem”
Does Canadian conservatism have a problem with patriotism? Do some conservatives feel a greater loyalty to their ideology than their country?
Does this lead them to side with Donald Trump and the United States against Canada, in a dispute that turns in part on whether Canada should exist as a country, separate from the United States? Does it also lead them to favour the separatist side in the coming referendum in Alberta, which is also about whether the country should exist in its current form?
What’s “patriotic” about allowing the Liberal party and their corporate cronies to swamp the nation with cheap foreign labour cheating your compatriots out of wages, housing and healthcare?
What’s “patriotic” about being ruled by a Laurentian elite that would surrender us to Communist China for a few pieces of silver?
What’s “patriotic” about the Liberal Party’s determined effort to criminalize dissent?
What’s “patriotic” about knee-jerk anti-Americanism that threatens our relationship with our closest ally?
I could go on …
BBC trying to prove Trump caused Jan 6 riots
The BBC has demanded that Donald Trump hand over his personal messages in an attempt to prove that he incited the Jan 6 riots.
In a fightback against the US president’s $10bn (£7.5bn) defamation lawsuit, the broadcaster’s lawyers hope to prove in court that he should be held responsible for urging his supporters to storm the US Capitol.
Last year The Telegraph revealed that a speech given by Mr Trump on Jan 6 2021 was spliced together in a Panorama documentary that made it appear as if he was directly inciting the mob in protest against the election result.
