Thousands of American Trump Derangement Syndrome sufferers really did flee to Europe in recent years, expecting to find a democratic socialist paradise — but the truly shocking part is that Wired, of all publications, revealed the schadenfreudelicious results. “Annie,” to name just one, complained about the “huge misconceptions about access to quality health care” in Britain, and she even admitted that “the quality of life is significantly lower than in the U.S.”
The results of Monday’s Alberta referendum question on separation from Canada won’t be official for more than a week, but all indications are that the separatist movement was handed a sound defeat.

We’re watching what’s happening in France, and we’re watching the liars of the corporate press assure us that the riots, looting, burning down of commercial establishments and town halls, and other detestable attacks on civilization are happening because “students” are upset over “school funding” and classroom ratios.
And few people are buying it.
Social justice journalist Lisa Durden MELTS DOWN on air after getting absolutely wrecked about the riots in France by conservative commentator Ben Ferguson.
Durden claimed the riots were just “student protests,” but Ferguson wasn’t about to let that slide, and he had the receipts to back it up.
Then he delivered a brutal reality check that sent Durden into a fit of RAGE.
FERGUSON: “You either have to be incredibly incompetent or totally blind to look at the images and think that this is students that are doing this.”
Durden immediately snapped.
DURDEN: “What you’re not going to do is call me a pathological liar!”
“I’m talking now! You’re not going to call me a pathological liar because you don’t know me, so stop that right now!”

Even though betting site Polymarket is illegal in the province, nothing is stopping its users from having an opinion on the outcome of the Toronto mayoral race.
“I guess that’s happening,” mayoral candidate Brad Bradford said Thursday afternoon in Etobicoke. “I don’t even think that’s legal in the province, but that’s kind of out of my jurisdiction. I am certainly not engaged in any of that.”

Premier Doug Ford’s Progressive Conservatives have slipped slightly in popularity just as MPPs are set to return to Queen’s Park after a 21-week break, a new poll suggests.
The latest Abacus Data survey had the Tories at 40 per cent, down from 42 per cent last month, while the Liberals, who elect a new leader Nov. 21, were up one percentage point to 32 per cent and Marit Stiles’s New Democrats rose three points to 20 per cent. Mike Schreiner’s Greens were unchanged at four per cent.

US President Donald Trump says he warned French President Emmanuel Macron years ago that allowing large numbers of immigrants into France was “a big mistake”.
Speaking at the White House, Trump claimed Paris would soon become “a Muslim city” and argued that France should have closed its borders, as the US had done.
He added that France’s borders remained a problem and also criticised the country’s energy situation. His remarks came days after violent protests and looting in several French cities over the cost of living and school conditions.
Olivia Chow’s lead over Brad Bradford has narrowed and is now within the margin of error with less than a week to go before the municipal election, according to a new poll conducted exclusively for CP24 and CTV News Toronto.
Nanos Research surveyed 762 adult Toronto residents between Oct. 15 and Oct. 18.
It found that 49.8 per cent of decided voters support Chow compared to 46.6 per cent for Bradford.
A far-left activist has been arrested over the burning down of a historic town hall in France during the country’s violent riots.
Anti-terror police have been called in to investigate the arson of the town hall in the central city of Limoges, a listed building dating back to 1883 whose roof and belfry collapsed when it was engulfed by fire on Saturday.
The destruction of the building came on a night of chaos in which thousands of masked looters ransacked shops and businesses across France, with police ordering new curfews for Tuesday night in a bid to take back control.
