European Parliament member Rima Hassan says she was denied entry to Canada

MONTRÉAL – A French-Palestinian member of the European Parliament says she was denied entry into Canada only days before she was scheduled to participate in conferences in Montreal.

Rima Hassan wrote online that she was “prevented” from coming to Canada in what she described as an attempt at censorship.

The far-left France Unbowed party said in a statement that Hassan’s electronic travel authorization was initially approved by Canadian authorities before being revoked on Friday.

Paying the Price: Western Europe’s Deadly Historical Amnesia

Western Europe is currently paying the price of historical amnesia.

Thanks to decades of mass Muslim migration—with particularly severe outcomes in the United Kingdom, Germany, and France—Western Europe has experienced surging crime rates in migrant-dense areas, grooming gang scandals involving the systematic sexual abuse of thousands of native girls, the emergence of parallel societies governed by sharia norms, welfare systems strained to breaking point, and growing cultural enclaves that function as de facto no-go zones for police and non-Muslims. Integration has largely failed, as large segments of these migrant communities reject Western values in favor of Islamic supremacism and separatism.

Carney deflects from floor crossing MP’s China’s slave state comments … wonders if he’ll have to report gift from Xi

Carney defends Canada’s approach to forced labour amid fallout from floor-crossing MP’s comments

Prime Minister Mark Carney defended Canada’s approach to forced labour as one of his newest MPs continues to face backlash for appearing to cast doubt on the practice in China.

Carney’s response to Michael Ma’s performance at committee last week comes during a sensitive moment in both Canada’s attempts to reset ties with Beijing and the ongoing trade war with the Trump administration — which is investigating whether its northern neighbour and dozens of other countries are failing to take action on forced labour.

The Victory Option

There are two kinds of people: the kind of people who want to end the Iran War and people who want to win the Iran War. The Victory Option encompasses the goal of the first kind of people because it ends the war, but ending the war is not the proper objective. The proper objective in any war is to win it. Anyone glancing at social media sees people with an absolute commitment to America’s defeat. And defeat comes about only if Donald Trump chooses to quit the war – because the Iranians can’t make us do anything since they don’t have a nuclear bomb, thanks to Donald Trump – in a way that doesn’t achieve victory. Victory means regime change. Once again, remember your Clausewitz – war is simply politics with other means. This is a political struggle. The military aspect is just how it’s being done, not what’s being done.

Millions of Americans are now eligible for Canadian citizenship and many are applying ‘just in case’

When Donald Trump was first elected in 2016, New York State resident Ellen Robillard briefly looked into getting Canadian citizenship. Her mother, after all, was born in Nova Scotia.

As a Democrat, Robillard was despondent at the election results, but she abandoned the idea after realizing that her young son wouldn’t be eligible for citizenship under a law that barred Canadians born abroad from passing their citizenship to children if they were also born outside Canada.

News outlets falsely report Somaliland called for extradition of Ilhan Omar

Several news outlets have falsely reported that Somaliland’s government called for the extradition of Ilhan Omar, basing their stories on a post from an X account that does not represent the state despite its claims to the contrary.

Fox News, the New York Post, Sinclair Broadcast Group’s the National News Desk and the Independent ran stories on the US representative. The reports centred on a post by @RepOfSomaliland in reaction to claims by JD Vance that Omar had committed immigration fraud, which echoed prior allegations against the Somali-born Minnesota Democrat that she has vehemently denied.

“Deportation?” the post read. “Please you’re just sending the princess back to her kingdom. Extradition? Say the word …”

John Weissenberger: Liberals have perfected the practice of announcing things they will never do

Many quaint expressions have passed from common usage in recent years, like “it’s a free country” or “sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me.” Similarly, “talk is cheap” is something you don’t hear much, at least not in government circles around Ottawa. That may be because the governing Liberals, like many politicians, don’t seem to know the difference between saying you’re going to do something and actually doing it.

The Left’s Epstein war: Conspiracy theories gain ground among progressives

On Feb. 27, 2025, fifteen online MAGA influencers walked out of the West Wing holding white binders stamped “The Epstein Files: Phase 1.” Rogan O’Handley, AKA “DC Draino,” held his high for the cameras. Liz Wheeler went live on X and flipped through the pages. Jessica Reed Kraus described the scene as though she’d been handed the Pentagon Papers. Attorney General Pam Bondi had personally delivered the documents, with President Donald Trump and FBI Director Kash Patel in attendance.

Mengele Minded Medicos Mourn MAiD Modifications

Some health-care workers who either directly provide medical assistance in dying or work in that field say they are strongly opposed to Bill 18 — which, if passed, would prevent doctors or nurse practitioners from administering MAID to patients if they are unlikely to die within the next 12 months.

In a letter published in the Edmonton Journal on Friday and shared with CBC News, 25 health-care workers signed their names to make their opposition known.

The Sham of ‘Disarming’ Hamas

Hamas and other Palestinian terror groups have again rejected demands by US President Donald J. Trump’s “Board of Peace” to lay down their weapons. This rejection underscores the determination of terror groups to continue their fight against Israel.

The Palestinian terror groups’ refusal to hand over their weapons shows they do not take seriously Trump’s repeated threats that they must disarm as part of the October 2025 US-brokered ceasefire and reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip. Trump made his latest threat in February 2026, when he warned that Hamas would be “harshly met” if they failed to disarm.

Internal RCMP report warns nitazenes could surpass fentanyl as ‘defining issue in Canada’s opioid crisis’

An internal RCMP report says that nitazenes — synthetic opioids police describe as “20 to 40 times more powerful than fentanyl” — could become a defining feature of the opioid crisis in Canada in the coming years.

Those drugs, which have been linked to hundreds of deaths in Canada, “are emerging as a growing threat,” the report says.

Tech CEOs suddenly love blaming AI for mass job cuts. Why?

Sweeping job cuts at Big Tech companies have become an annual tradition. How executives explain those decisions, however, has changed.

Out are buzzwords like efficiency, over-hiring, and too many management layers.

Today, all explanations stem from artificial intelligence (AI).

In recent weeks, giants including Google, Amazon, Meta, as well as smaller firms such as Pinterest and Atlassian, have all announced or warned of plans to shrink their workforce, pointing to developments in AI that they say are allowing their firms to do more with fewer people.

She had a family and a business in Mississauga’s Afghan community. How did Mezhgan Aini vanish and no one reported it for three years?

Mezhgan Aini had a husband and three children she cared about, family in Afghanistan who she talked to regularly, and a thriving seamstress business in Mississauga.

Then she was gone.

Mezhgan, 38, was reported missing by her sister in August 2025. Seven months later, Peel police issued a news release: The probe into her disappearance was now a homicide investigation.

Maybe the same reluctance that lead to the torture and death of a child was at work on this case?
