Foreign fugitives have high chances of dodging deportation from Canada each year, as records show that of thousands of foreigners ordered to leave the country over the past six years, just 48 percent were actually deported.
An Inquiry of Ministry, presented to the House of Commons by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), said of the 13,287 foreigners ordered out of the country since 2016, a total of 6,322 were deported, according to Blacklock’s Reporter.

Businesses in Phoenix are being forced to surrender free speech rights to the all-powerful National Football League. The next Super Bowl will be hosted by the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, along with the loss of free speech for area businesses.
Bowing to the NFL’s directive, the entire downtown area of Phoenix has been designated as a “Special Promotional and Civic Event Area,” through Feb. 19. No resident or business in the city-imposed “clean zone” will be permitted to display temporary signage without the approval of the city, the NFL and the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee. The permission deadline for temporary messages was this past Thursday.

Veterans minister says he thinks all assisted dying talks now known, but isn’t certain
Canada’s minister of veterans affairs says he isn’t sure whether there will be more cases of veterans discussing medical assistance in dying (MAID) with a Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) employee, but believes the four cases confirmed so far may be the extent of it.
Lawrence MacAulay is also acknowledging that his previous insistence that the first known case was an isolated incident was “not correct,” as more confirmed cases were later revealed and other veterans since have come forward with their own claims of similar discussions.

The FBI has refused to say how many social media companies it works with, defending their actions after it emerged that agents from the bureau regularly met with Twitter executives and handed over lists of accounts they found questionable.
Officials from the bureau even asked for Twitter to hand over the locations from where the Twitter accounts were being operated, in a disturbing move that many saw as an attack on the First Amendment.
One user targeted by the FBI, who goes by @Lexitollah, said: ‘Seems like prima facie 1A violation.’

Polish prosecutors are investigating a “violent release of energy” at the national police headquarters amid media reports that the chief of police fired a grenade launcher in his office.
Poland’s interior ministry said on Thursday that Jarosław Szymczyk, the police commander in chief, was injured and taken to hospital when a present he received during a visit to Ukraine exploded at police headquarters in Warsaw.
Polish media reported that the present was a grenade launcher and that Szymczyk himself had accidentally fired it in his office, in what would be a serious breach of safety regulations.
