Dramatic new footage has revealed the moment New York investment banker Jonathan Kaye was attacked by a group of revelers hurling anti-Semitic slurs at him – for the first time since he was accused of punching a woman during the altercation last month.

Kaye, 52, the now former managing director at Moelis & Company, made headlines in early June after viral video showed him throwing a vicious punch at a female reveler at the Brooklyn Pride Parade on June 8.

The millionaire banker was reported to have resigned from his high-paying role last week after being placed on leave as his firm investigated the incident.

The federal government’s refusal to allow prisoners to use the internet effectively blocks access to post-secondary education behind bars, a new lawsuit alleges.

Noting how colleges and universities that once offered paper correspondence programs have shifted almost entirely online, the lawsuit by the John Howard Society and a prisoner serving a life sentence argues that the Correctional Service of Canada’s internet ban — and “woefully inadequate” access to computers in general — infringes prisoners’ “fundamental right to freedom of expression,” which includes the right to receive information.

I guess porn is considered “education” by some.

A 34-year-old man is said to have attacked three federal police officers with a knife at the train station in Lauf an der Pegnitz ( Bavaria ) on Sunday afternoon. When the patrol got out of their patrol car at around 4:45 p.m., the perpetrator is said to have insulted and provoked the officers. They then used pepper spray.

Chemnitz (Saxony) – This must have been sheer horror for this young woman. The 21-year-old was sitting on a meadow not far from an allotment garden in the Gablenz district at around 6:10 p.m. on Saturday evening when suddenly seven teenagers or young men approached her and began to insult and hit her.

“They are Syrian nationals. The five people were temporarily arrested and taken to a police station. The Chemnitz criminal investigation department has taken over further investigations on suspicion of sexual assault and dangerous bodily harm,” said the police spokeswoman.

Less than a week after the federal government announced it was considering imposing trade restrictions on cheaper Chinese-made EVs, groups like Environmental Defence are urging Ottawa to consider the ramifications of such a move.
