A Nigerian father whose asylum claim was rejected three times has been allowed to stay in Britain after belatedly arguing he is gay.
The man, who has been granted anonymity, first arrived in the UK in 1983 but overstayed and left nine years later.
He returned in 1996 and made several failed asylum bids, including on the basis of political opinion and later through marriage to a Portuguese woman.
Canada is just as stupid in fact worse as we have a dedicated program for importing Gay Refugees etc.

Cracker Barrel’s new logo — and its miserable attempt to reinvent itself — is obviously a complete disaster, whether in terms of customer backlash or the company’s stock price.
But the real reason Cracker Barrel has been struggling is that its service and food quality nosedived after Covid, and instead of fixing that, the company and its woke executives decided to go full Bud Light and taste the rainbow and dare its customers to object.
Looks like another crappy Exec destroyed a beloved brand. I have never been in a Cracker Barrel but know of them because they allow RV’s to park overnight for free, well they did perhaps that ended with everything else good.
Cracker Barrel’s Board Should Fire The CEO Immediately
Cracker Barrel is learning the same lesson Bud Light did: fat, bearded, gun toting middle Americans not only dislike change — especially the “woke” kind — but will also turn on you for taking a staple brand they love and pile-driving it into the ground.

Universal Ostrich Farm in Edgewood, BC has lost its appeal to prevent the slaughter of their flock.
As a result, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency is now allowed to kill the nearly 400 birds.

It is unfortunate that First Nations are reluctant, or unable, to provide precise details in these cases, since they almost certainly warrant some kind of criminal investigation
Here we go again. More announcements that “graves” have been found at former Indian Residential Schools, more flags lowered in mourning and more uncritical press coverage.
And yet times have changed. There is less news coverage of these events, there’s no federal flags flying at half-staff and there appears to be a marked lack of national angst.

The recent decision by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), once seen as a vaunted protector of the American Jewish community, to add “America First” to its Glossary of Extremism and Hate is no mere exercise in sanctimony or virtue signaling.
This unbelievably wrong-headed, ill-considered and insensitive decision sends the worst kind of messages, especially to those with who the American Jewish community is in most need of dialog and mutual understanding: American conservatives, particularly, America First MAGA conservatives.
To the extent that the ADL is still viewed as a proxy for American Jewish sensibilities, this decision must be seen as an angry gauntlet thrown down, whereby Jews are challenging the very legitimacy of a movement that is attracting millions of Americans, particularly young Americans.
The ADL is a left wing hate group, no different than the SPLC.
President Trump says Chicago is the next target for a crime crackdown after DC:
"Chicago's a mess. You have an incompetent mayor, grossly incompetent. And we'll straighten that one out probably next… that will be our next one… and it won't even be tough." pic.twitter.com/RGlanxggA1

Aircraft arriving at one of Europe’s busiest airports are being diverted because of the glare from a nearby solar farm.
Pilots on approach to Schipol, Europe’s fourth biggest airport behind Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Istanbul, have warned of dazzling reflections from 228,000 solar panels installed under runway approach paths.
The problem has meant that the Zwanenburgbaan and Polderbaan runways must be closed during sunny periods, leading to congestion and delays at the airport and extra noise for locals.

If you need proof that the Liberal government doesn’t have a clue how to deal with the Trump administration, just look at this contract. Signed just over a week after Mark Carney became Liberal leader and days after he was sworn in as prime minister, it’s a complete waste of money.

Man found fatally shot inside Scarborough Town Centre washroom
A man in his 20s was found shot to death in a restroom inside the bustling Scarborough Town Centre on Thursday afternoon.
But Toronto Police are so far only saying the death of the victim — found in a public bathroom within the mall near McCowan Rd. and Hwy. 401 — is “suspicious.”

Just after midnight in a part of Planet Earth known as Massachusetts, a team of scientists who track comets and minor planets in the solar system announced that they had spotted something new: a spark in the southern sky, visible in the data they were getting from a telescope in Chile.
The telescope, high in the Atacama Desert, is tasked with searching for objects that might collide with Earth. “We at the Minor Planet Center have the role to collect the information and also to post it quickly, almost in real time, on our website if the object is somehow interesting,” said Peter Veres, a Harvard astronomer sometimes described as an air-traffic controller for the solar system.

The FBI raided the home of Donald Trump’s former national security adviser turned critic John Bolton on Friday morning.
The federal search of Bolton’s house in the Washington DC area was as part of an investigation involving the handling of classified documents, the Associated Press reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.
A government source confirmed the raid to the Guardian, but did not disclose further details.
