Governor General, guests rack up $100K in-flight catering bill during Dubai trip

OTTAWA — Canada’s vice-regal racked up a nearly $100,000 catering bill on board a government aircraft during a recent week-long trip to the Middle East.

An order paper question submitted by Conservative MP Michael Barrett shows Gov. Gen. Mary Simon and her 29 fellow passengers using $93,117.89 in catering services aboard an RCAF CC-150 Polaris during her March 16 to March 24 trip to Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Can anyone explain why this token figurehead needs to meet with anyone abroad? Did they find potential mass graves in Dubai?

Biden Advisor Says Social Media Companies Need To Silence Anyone Who Criticises Green Energy “Transition”

One of Joe Biden’s senior advisors told a reporter this week that social media companies should be cracking down on and censoring anyone who speeds information critical of the administration’s so called ‘green energy transition’.

National climate advisor Gina McCarthy made the comments in an interview with a reporter for Axios, stating “Now it’s not so much denying the problem. What the [fossil fuel] industry is now doing is seeding doubt about the costs associated with [green energy] and whether they work or not.”

Happy the elephant at Bronx Zoo is not a person, New York’s top court rules

ALBANY, N.Y. — Elephants are not human beings with constitutional rights, the New York State Court of Appeals ruled on Tuesday.

The Nonhuman Rights Project had challenged the Bronx Zoo’s confinement of Happy, a 41-year-old pachyderm. After several of her companions have died, she and Patty — who do not get along — are the only two remaining elephants at the zoo.

When Canadian flags are offensive, it’s time to clean up Ontario’s schools

The Canadian flag is now offensive to some of the powers that be in Ontario’s education system. Last week, a school principal sent home a letter warning parents that their child was about to be offered a free Canadian flag and if they didn’t want to receive one, they should send the attached form back.

A transgender Lutheran bishop in California resigned over allegations of racism from the congregation.

San Francisco bishop Megan Rohrer became the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s first openly transgender bishop last year. Rohrer faced backlash following a December vote to oust Rev. Nelson Rabell-Gonzalez as pastor over his mostly-Latino congregation following an investigation into verbal harassment allegations, NBC News reported.

The bogus Parliament Hill bomb threat targeted organizers of a Sikh rally planned for Saturday, with four law enforcement sources telling Global News the tip was related to “Sikh extremism.”

Manveer Singh and Parminder Singh, two organizers of an event to commemorate the 1984 massacre of Sikhs in India, were the two suspects detained after police received what they believed to be “credible” information of explosives in vehicles near the parliamentary precinct.

Proud Boys storm drag queen story hour for kindergarteners at a San Francisco library

A group of men allegedly part of Proud Boys have stormed a Drag Queen story time at a San Francisco library shouting homophobic and transphobic threats.

Several of the men wore shirts emblazoned with assault rifles as they barged into the library around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

They hurled insults at the act Panda Dulce as he read to kids who were only in preschool and kindergarten during the controversial event.
