El-Sayed’s ‘Queer Muslim’ and Pro-Palestinian Half-Sister Causing Headaches for the Campaign

Eman Abdelhadi, half-sister of Michigan’s Democratic candidate for Senate, Abdul El-Sayed, is a hater.

She hates America. She hates white people. She hates the University of Chicago, where she’s an associate professor in the school’s Department of Comparative Human Development. She hates Democratic moderates.

Quitting Canada: Why I am moving to the United States

Quitting Canada: Why I am moving to the United States

Grainy videos hide more than they reveal. They smooth out the texture and contours of life in a single moment. We often look back on these relics as beautiful, simpler times.

But it’s hard to grasp what life felt like for the protagonists in the frame. The anxiety and excitement. The stack of bills collecting on the counter or the sick grandparents out of view. The optimism or dread of whether a child’s life will be more promising than a parent’s.

A good but long read.

Nothing to celebrate: Fidel Castro’s centenary and Cuba’s kleptocratic legacy

Nothing to celebrate: Fidel Castro’s centenary and Cuba’s kleptocratic legacy

Havana has been gearing up for the centenary of Fidel Castro’s birth on August 13, 2026. Fidel Castro died in 2016 after handing power over to his brother Raúl in 2006. Communists the world over claim him as one of their own, and international visitors are being hosted by the dictatorship to celebrate this anniversary. In 2006, Forbes magazine reported that Fidel Castro’s net worth was $900 million (€780 million). One of his bodyguards, Juan Reinaldo Sánchez, who defected, wrote a tell-all book, The Double Life of Fidel Castro: My 17 Years as Personal Bodyguard to El Lider Maximo, detailing Fidel’s 29 luxury homes, four yachts and private island (Cayo Piedra), not to mention other luxuries. This in a country where 89 per cent of the population lives in extreme poverty.

America — Not China — Is World’s Energy Superpower

America — Not China — Is World’s Energy Superpower

“China Is Now the World’s Great Oil Power,” The Economist declared on August 9.

So, what is the significance of this pronouncement? The world’s oil power is also the world’s energy power. The world’s energy power, in turn, is a leading contender for the world’s dominant power. “Energy is the foundational brick of the global economy,” Jonathan Bass, the CEO of Argent LNG, told Gatestone.

China, the world’s largest importer of crude oil, exerts great leverage over markets, but The Economist is nonetheless wrong.

China ‘funding pro-Palestine marches in UK’

China is suspected of funding pro-Palestine marches in the UK, The Telegraph can disclose.

US politicians investigating alleged secret Chinese backing of Code Pink, a far-Left feminist protest group established in the US, are examining its activities in Britain as part of an inquiry into foreign interference.

Code Pink has organised protests in the UK against Britain’s involvement in “the genocide in Gaza”, encouraged its activists to demonstrate outside RAF bases, and issued statements claiming that Britain’s leaders have been “bought by Zionism”.

Canada isn’t mentioned as it’s assumed the LPC is a ChiCom subsidiary.

Pete Hegseth dismisses reports of deteriorating conditions on USS Abraham Lincoln

The US defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, insisted a wave of reports describing deteriorating conditions and mental health struggles onboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln have been “completely misrepresented”, pushing back against growing congressional pressure over the ship’s record-breaking, nearly nine-month deployment.

“We make sure every ship, every crew, every captain has everything we can provide them at every single moment,” Hegseth told reporters during a visit to Panama, adding that “some deployments are longer than others” and praising sailors enduring “high seas” and “austere conditions with less port calls”.

Navy Responds to Reports USS Lincoln Sailors Are Trying to Jump Overboard

The U.S. Navy has denied claims of an increase in attempted suicides on board its aircraft carrier, the USS Abraham Lincoln, amid reports of rising welfare concerns from family members of those aboard the vessel, which has been at sea for over 260 days.

Citing relatives of troops at sea, military publication NavyTimes reported that at least two U.S. Navy sailors had attempted to jump overboard from the vessel, which departed the U.S. in November and was rerouted from the Pacific to the Middle East as the White House prepared to launch its war on Iran at the end of February.

Trump Outrages Leftists (Again) by Calling Muslim Democrat Candidates ‘Jihadists’

Trump Outrages Leftists (Again) by Calling Muslim Democrat Candidates ‘Jihadists’

Pretty much everything President Donald Trump does outrages leftists, including (and for some, especially) breathing, but few of his words and deeds drive them into the paroxysms of rage that his criticism of their favorite religion inspires. Although he was much stronger and more vocal regarding the jihad threat during his first term than his second, Trump steadfastly refuses to mouth “religion of peace” platitudes, and on Monday, that earned him yet another in an apparently endless string of New York Times hit pieces.

Trump’s Air Force One deception faces scrutiny over use of ‘decoy’ media passengers

Trump’s Air Force One deception faces scrutiny over use of ‘decoy’ media passengers

Democrats called on Tuesday for a congressional briefing over a stunning charade in which Donald Trump was secretly spirited to a different plane than the one the public and press believed he was travelling on. Critics now question why reporters and the public had been deliberately misled.

When US intelligence allegedly found a credible threat that Iran plotted to kill him last month, Trump left Air Force One in a catering truck, an episode first reported by the Washington Post and also by the New York Times. While the president was reportedly snuck out the side door of the plane, more than a hundred aides, officials and reporters were kept onboard to fly towards Britain, without being told there was a threat to their lives.

Thousands sign petition calling for Pete Hoekstra’s removal from Canada

A petition set to be presented in the House of Commons this fall calls on the government to declare the U.S. ambassador persona non grata and remove him from Canada.

The online petition accuses Pete Hoekstra of making statements that undermine the Canada-U.S. relationship and of intervening in Canadian political discourse in a manner inconsistent with diplomatic protocol.

Mamdani’s Wife Gets Brutal Response After Asking NYPD to Babysit Her in War Zones

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s office recently claimed the NYPD had strongly recommended sending a security detail with his wife, Rama Duwaji, on her upcoming personal trip to Syria and Lebanon.

As is often the case with the communist mayor, that story fell apart rather quickly. The police department swiftly shut down any notion that they’d be sending officers to unstable conflict zones.

Call a Muslim a Muslim

Call a Muslim a Muslim

As the U.S. Senate race in Michigan begins, the battle centers on Republican Mike Rogers calling his opponent by his full name, Abdulrahman Mohamed El Sayed. The Muslim candidate says Rogers is Islamophobic for pointing out that El Sayed is a Muslim.

Been there. Done that. Let’s learn from the One Big Ass Mistake America made 18 years ago. Not calling out Obama’s Muslim heritage enabled his election, which allowed him to set Middle East relations back a century because communists thrive on chaos—and Iran specializes in creating chaos.
