Canada’s national police force says it will continue to strengthen ties with the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, even as experts warn against deepening the relationship at a time of growing divergence between the neighbouring countries.

This year, RCMP-FBI co-operation has been credited for dismantling gangs such as Ryan Wedding’s alleged drug-trafficking organization, with Mountie Commissioner Mike Duheme appearing alongside Trump administration officials to announce these takedowns.

The experts are concerned the US has tipped us off about pending terror attacks and criminal activity plus Trump.

Kimberly Guilfoyle is asked to resign by White House, new press secretary says

The White House has asked Kimberly Guilfoyle, the ambassador to Greece, to resign, new White House press secretary Katie Zacharia told reporters on Tuesday, a day after President Donald Trump said he was considering firing her after allegations she asked a political donor for $100,000 to pay her personal American Express bill.

Guilfoyle, who was once the fiancée of Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., has denied any wrongdoing, but the State Department’s Office of Inspector General has begun an investigation into her conduct.

Canadians are still boycotting Las Vegas. The Sin City slump is now a major election issue

Canadian travel to Las Vegas continues to crater amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s attacks on Canada, and the tourism slump in Sin City has become a major midterm election issue.

Nevada Democrats are trying to capitalize on the decline, blaming Trump’s trade war and threats toward Canada — the state’s largest source of international tourists.

“The Trump Slump is real, and Las Vegas tourism is tanking,” the party said in one of its campaign messages ahead of the November vote in this crucial swing state.

EU-Funded “Disinformation” Group Puts America on Its Threat List

EU DisinfoLab is a Brussels-based non-profit that received a substantial amount of money from the EU – and has now put the United States on its list of foreign information threats.

The organization held its annual conference, #Disinfo2026, on October 7 and 8 in Lithuania, and the first day included a panel titled, “USA as a FIMI threat: acknowledge, adapt, push back.” FIMI stands for foreign information manipulation and interference.

Ilhan Omar torches Trump over ‘political intimidation’ after feds raid home amid immigration probe

Ilhan Omar has attacked Donald Trump for targeting her with ‘political intimidation’ after federal agents swooped on her home in a pre-dawn raid.

Homeland Security Investigations entered the Somali-born congresswoman’s home in Washington DC on Monday amid a probe into immigration papers filled out on her behalf by her father when she was a child.

Omar wrote on X: ‘I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement.

Federal agents searched Ilhan Omar’s home at 6am today in a Homeland Security investigation.

• 2009: legally marries Ahmed Elmi. The license was signed by a Christian pastor
• 2012: has a child with Ahmed Hirsi while still married to Elmi
• 2014–15: files joint taxes with Hirsi while legally wed to Elmi

‘Like a drill going into my eye’: why the mystery over Havana syndrome refuses to die

hortly after 1am one night in April 2019, a CIA officer on a work trip to London was jolted awake in his hotel room by the most intense head pain he had ever experienced. The next day, arriving at the work meeting he had travelled for, the officer found he could not remember the names of colleagues in the room, people he knew well. As the meeting got under way, he could barely follow the discussion. Initially, he chalked it up to a terrible – if rather odd – case of food poisoning. But over subsequent weeks, worrying symptoms persisted: brain fog, loss of balance and increasingly harsh tinnitus.

Why aren’t all executions public?

There is a boring, snooty, self-righteous school of thought that the judicial killing of a human being is a grave and dignified sacrament of the state. It says that where the law provides for the government to take a life, that is about as serious a decision as, in peacetime, it gets. This school of thought has it that the preceding judicial process must be exhaustive; that the condemned, no matter how repulsive their crimes, should be treated with respect by virtue of their status as human beings; that the whole punitive apparatus must see the process through with the sort of impersonal solemnity appropriate to its momentous arrogation of the right to take a life. Black caps, drawn curtains, ceremonious and exact procedures, shuffling clergymen…all that stuffy malarkey.

A good anti-public execution piece but I think Hasan’s case merits an exception.

US Homeland Security chief defends plan to livestream execution

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief has defended a plan to livestream the execution of convicted killer Nidal Hasan, rejecting claims that it could fuel radicalisation or make him a martyr.

“I don’t see an elevated risk,” Markwayne Mullin said on Sunday. “I think people need to understand that if you attack America, we will come after you, and we will make sure that the punishment fits the crime.”

Hasan, a former US Army Major, is due to be executed by firing squad in December for shooting dead 13 soldiers at the Fort Hood military base in Texas.

Trump threatens to cut off Ukraine’s weapon supplies

Donald Trump has threatened to halt weapons supplies to Ukraine unless Kyiv ends its long-range strikes on Russian energy infrastructure.

The White House made it clear to European officials over the weekend that a scheme allowing Ukraine’s allies to buy US arms and give them to Kyiv could be suspended.

Mr Trump is said to be angry at Volodymyr Zelensky’s continued strikes on Russian oil refineries, and according to officials in Europe, the US administration has also threatened to withhold intelligence from Ukraine.

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s DC home raided by DHS as part of probe into Dem’s immigration paperwork

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home was raided early Monday morning by the Department of Homeland Security as part of an ongoing criminal fraud investigation into the Somali-born congresswoman’s immigration paperwork.

“Today in the Washington, D.C. area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice,” a DOJ spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Envoy says France admires Carney’s U.S. stance

OTTAWA – France’s new ambassador to Canada says her country admires the Carney government’s response to “extremely radical” American demands and is calling for swift action to boost Canada’s strategic ties with Europe.

“My mission is very clear. It’s to work toward making France one of Canada’s closest allies in Europe, in each field, in every sector,” French Ambassador Hélène Farnaud-Defromont told The Canadian Press on Friday.

France is an economic and social basket case currently beset by migrant lead civil unrest.

Trump: Zelensky must be ousted

Donald Trump has called for Volodymyr Zelensky to be ousted, saying Ukraine needs a new leader who can end the war with Russia.

Ukrainian strikes on Moscow’s oil refineries provoked a furious response from the US president, who had agreed a deal to buy diesel from Vladimir Putin a day earlier.

Responding to two drone attacks on Saturday, Mr Trump said: “[Zelensky] better damn ⁠well stop.

“I suggest they get a new leader who can ‌make a deal.”
