How Toronto police are tackling the alarming rise in hate crimes

The text from a Toronto police spokesperson came at 8:30 on a Friday morning. A synagogue in the city’s north end had been vandalized overnight. Our crew could meet detectives from the force’s Hate Crimes Unit on site.

We arrived at the Kehillat Shaarei Torah synagogue to find congregant Norman Mosselson quietly sweeping up broken glass. When we asked him how he felt, his voice broke and he stifled a sob.

“Well, shock. Total shock… This is my home,” he said. This was the second time the synagogue had been attacked in a month.

Muslims say MP’s not sufficiently Jew Hatey

MPs calling out hate while disparaging Israel criticism ‘duplicitous’: Muslim groups

OTTAWA — Muslim groups called on political parties to work harder to stamp out Islamophobia in Canada on Thursday, and to not paint criticism of Israel as antisemitic.

The concerns centred on condemnations of pro-Palestinian rallies and advocacy since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel.

“The response that the Muslim community in Canada, for months, has been receiving from our elected leaders has been duplicitous,” National Council of Canadian Muslims head Stephen Brown said Thursday.

Pro-Hamas crowds praise the murder of Jews and are silent on the murder of Christians

Pakistani jihadists threatened attacks on Christians in response to the burning of the Swedish Quran. But they never needed an “excuse” to tear them apart.

A Christian family was attacked in Sargodha, Pakistan, after being accused of having “offended Islam”. The neighborhood was invaded by Islamic fundamentalists and fires were set. Muslims in the neighborhood destroyed the family’s house and lynched one of them. They didn’t speak Swedish, but Urdu. And they were not “colonialists”, but as indigenous as Muslims.

These are scenes that seem to come from another time, but they come from a country that is a member of the UN Human Rights Council. And as in the Jewish October 7th, the wolves film their victims with cell phones.

Juror says someone left her bag with $120,000 cash and promise of more if she’ll acquit in Minneapolis Somali Food Program Scam

MINNEAPOLIS — A juror was dismissed Monday after reporting that a woman dropped a bag of $120,000 in cash at her home and offered her more money if she would vote to acquit seven people charged with stealing more than $40 million from a program meant to feed children during the pandemic.

“This is completely beyond the pale,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson said in court Monday. “This is outrageous behavior. This is stuff that happens in mob movies.”

A knife ban will fix everything!

Seven Muslims found guilty of horrific sexual abuse of two girls in Rotherham

Seven men have been found guilty of a catalogue of sickening child sex offences after two teenage girls were abused in Rotherham.

The victims – who were aged between 11 and 16 at the time of the offending in the early 2000s, were both in care and were groomed and plied with alcohol and cannabis before being raped or assaulted. The National Crime Agency says they were often collected by their abusers from the children’s homes they lived at at the time before being assaulted.

Ontario’s highest court has upheld the conviction and life sentence of one of the two men found guilty of terrorism charges in a plot to derail a passenger train between Canada and the U.S.

Raed Jaser had challenged the outcome of the 2015 trial on several grounds, including that his case should have been severed from that of his co-accused, Chiheb Esseghaier—something he requested twice, unsuccessfully.

The Mannheim stabbing has exposed the cowardice of Germany’s elites

The political class has been desperate to avoid condemning this brutal Islamist attack.

Last Friday, five people were injured and one police officer was killed in a knife attack in the German city of Mannheim. The suspect is a 25-year-old man who came to Germany from Afghanistan in 2014.

Though there were no shouts of ‘Alluha Akbar’ heard on the video taken during the stabbing, there was immediate speculation that the attacker was an Islamist. This was hardly a far-fetched idea, given that most of those injured were members of an anti-Islamist activist group called Pax Europa – a branch of the ‘Stop Islamisation of Europe’ organisation.

Muslim strangled Christian Swedish victim rather than face the ‘shame’ of telling his family she was expecting his child

Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim and murdered girlfriend

A Somalian refugee who murdered his seven-months-pregnant girlfriend last year in an ‘honour killing’ has been jailed for life by a Swedish court.

Saga Forsgren Elneborg, 20, was found strangled to death at her home in the city of Örebro in April 2023 in a case that shocked the Scandinavian country.

Prosecutors claimed that her 22-year-old boyfriend Mohamedamin Abdirisek Ibrahim decided to murder her rather than face the shame of telling his Muslim family that his girlfriend – believed to be half Thai, half Swedish and Christian – was expecting his baby.

OTTAWA — As Israel continues to both recover from and deal with the aftermath of the October 7 terror attacks, a visiting member of the country’s legislature is calling Canada out for turning its back on its longtime ally.

Sitting down with the National Post during a visit to Ottawa this week, Knesset member Sharren Haskel expressed concerns over Canada’s lack of support for Israel after the October 7 massacre.

Votes matter, nothing else comes close for Trudeau.

Focusing on the Wrong Threat: Islam Critic Wounded in Attack Was Under State Surveillance

Long-time anti-Islamism activist Michael Stürzenberger, the main focus of the bloody knife attack in Mannheim on Friday, has long had a target on his back—put there not only by extremist Islamists, but also by the German state. The Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz (BfV)—the country’s domestic spy agency—has monitored the campaigner for the past ten years, and a state-funded Bavarian anti-extremism organisation has called Stürzenberger a conspiracy theorist for warning about political Islam getting a foothold in Germany.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali: We Have Been Subverted

If you wonder why I—a woman of color, an African, a former Muslim, a former asylum seeker, and an immigrant—look at the antics of today’s anti-Israel, anti-American protesters with such fear and trembling, allow me to explain.

I was born in Somalia in 1969. The country had achieved independence nine years before. But less than a month before I was born—on October 21, 1969—a junior member of the brand-new Somali armed forces seized power with the help of the Soviet Union. The first two decades of my life were shaped by the upheaval that followed that coup.
