Whiny Muslim terrorist wants more computer access and may not have to reveal passwords to parole officers

While a key architect of the Toronto 18 terrorism plot to detonate truck bombs in Toronto is pushing for more access to electronics while out of prison, the parole board is worried that requiring him to give his computer passwords to his parole supervisor might violate his rights.

O’Toole attacks Trudeau’s ‘inexperienced’ cabinet as a threat to national unity

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole tore into Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s new cabinet lineup today, saying he’s assembled a group of “largely inexperienced and ideological individuals” that pose a threat to the country’s national unity and post-pandemic economic recovery.

In a statement released as ministers were still being sworn in at Rideau Hall, O’Toole said Trudeau’s cabinet picks are “yet another example” of his “record of style over substance.”

Eyre blames sexual misconduct crisis, pandemic for shrinking military

It could take up to seven years for the Canadian military’s recruitment efforts to recover from the fallout of both the sexual misconduct crisis and the pandemic, says the country’s acting chief of the defence staff.

Speaking Monday at the Kingston Conference on International Security, Gen. Wayne Eyre said he’s increasingly worried about the decline in the size of both the regular and reserve forces. He said he’s particularly alarmed at the number of experienced leaders — officers and noncommissioned officers — who are putting in their release notices and quitting the service.

The matter was discussed as late as last week at a command-level gathering. Eyre said he’s encouraging his senior leaders to stay and asking them to urge others to do the same.

How regulatory agencies, not the courts, are imposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates

The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly reshaped how we perceive ourselves and the social world around us. It has more recently transformed the business of governance in western democracies like Canada.

The crisis has modified how the law is applied to society and redefined who decides the exceptions to the rules that our society must now adhere to.

The decisions of medical health-care professionals like doctors and nurse practitioners are now far more legally and politically significant than before, since they’re determining who is exempt from following new vaccination laws and mandates.

In Canada I pay for a public broadcaster that hates me

On election day, I greeted people who voted for parties that hate people like me

… During the first hour of my shift, an elderly white woman came in with a walker. After skimming over her voter identity card, I informed her that, unfortunately, she was at the wrong polling address. The correct address was next door but their parking lot was full, she told me. I apologized to her for the inconvenience; she thanked me profusely for directing her to the right place.

I was buoyed both at her dedication to her civic duty as well as her kind words. However, after she left, I couldn’t help but wonder whether — despite our pleasant interaction —she was one of the people who hate people like me.

MALCOLM: The uninspiring sameness of Canada’s political parties

The most striking feature of the recent federal election was the amount of overlap between the parties when it came to their platforms as well as their overall governing philosophies.

We’ve come to a point where the Liberals, Conservatives, New Democrats, Bloc and Greens all have the same opinion on virtually every political issue that matters to Canadians.

RCMP union releases truly stunning and important document on Canada’s vaxx mandates

Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0R2

October 21, 2021

Dear Commissioner Brenda Lucki:

We respectfully submit this open letter to express our most sincere concerns and resolute stand against the forced coercive medical intervention of Canadians, and against the undue discrimination experienced by those exercising their lawful right to bodily autonomy. We are not against vaccinations, but as law enforcement officers, we cannot in good conscience willingly participate in enforcing mandates that we believe go against the best interests of the people we protect.
