Canada’s federal police service is issuing a warning about online extremist groups targeting Canadian youth.
Referring to these groups as ideologically motivated violent extremist (IMVE) entities, police warned they’re actively targeting online youth in the country with the goal of convincing the children to record or livestream acts of self-harm, suicide, animal torture or child sexual abuse material.
He became a Canadian citizen in May 2024, after the Canadian Security Intelligence Service screened him and “returned a favorable recommendation,” according to the timeline tabled by Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc.

Thirteen years ago this week, former NDP leader Jack Layton took his final breath on earth. Before leaving, he drafted a letter to Canadians with words we should revisit as we enter the end stage of this federal Parliament.

Canada and other countries that are laggards when it comes to military spending should hit the NATO-imposed target of spending two per cent of GDP “as rapidly as humanly possible,” U.S. President Joe Biden’s national security adviser told reporters on the sidelines of the Liberal cabinet retreat in Halifax on Sunday.

The Price of Public Health Care Insurance, 2024 by the Fraser Institute said health-care expenses will cost families an estimated $17,713 in 2024.
