The five candidates vying for the NDP’s leadership into the next election gave one final appeal to members before the party chooses its next leader.

Each candidate was given time at the party’s convention in Winnipeg on Saturday to sway any voters who are still undecided.

The contenders are: MP Heather McPherson, activist and filmmaker Avi Lewis, union leader Rob Ashton, farmer Tony McQuail and social worker and municipal councillor Tanille Johnston.

Leaked Chat Exposes Antisemitism Row in UK Green Party

Green Party activists are facing mounting backlash after leaked WhatsApp messages revealed members describing Jews as “an abomination to this planet” and promoting conspiracy claims about attacks on Jewish targets.

The messages, first reported by The Telegraph, come from a Greens for Palestine group chat and have prompted calls for party leader Zack Polanski to take action, amid warnings of growing antisemitism within the party’s activist base.

In one exchange, a participant wrote that Jews were “an abomination to this planet” during a discussion about Israel and Zionism. Other messages show members claiming Jews “murder, bomb and starve” children and arguing activists should stop using the term ‘Zionists’ out of fear of being labelled antisemitic.

Maybe working the foreign student scam wasn’t such a great idea after all.

‘Canada as a brand has suffered’: Post-secondary schools react to AG report on international students

A little more than an hour outside of Ottawa, the small town of Perth, Ont. is dotted on roadways and in windows with signs that say “Save our College.”

The town is hoping there will be a resolution after Algonquin College announced the closure of its Perth campus last year, among other cuts, citing a multi-million dollar deficit and the federal cap on international students as factors. This month, the school approved cuts to 30 more programs.

“Of course, it’s an economic advantage to the community, because you have students here buying groceries, renting rooms and so on. But it’s that the type of college with the heritage masonry and the heritage carpentry has been here for so long. It’s so well known, it fits in well with the heritage of Perth,” Mayor Judy Brown told CTV News.

Mr Smith’s house was searched on March 8 last year, his devices were seized and he spent a night in a cell at Hatfield police station.

Christians warned to expected increased hostility, persecution after bill passes in Canada

Canada’s top pro-life group, Campaign Life Coalition (CLC), is warning that the passage of a Liberal bill criminalizing religious expression and belief when quoting parts of the Bible, including about homosexuality and gender, will lead to the “actual persecution” of Christians.

In comments to LifeSiteNews, CLC said the passage of Bill C-9 earlier this week is a warning to Canadians of faith to “prepare for increasing hostility.”

Federal memo links immigration policy to rising youth unemployment in Canada

A federal briefing memo is contradicting years of government messaging, acknowledging that immigration policies allowing foreign students expanded access to jobs — at the expense of Canadian youth employment.

Blacklock’s Reporter says the internal document from Employment and Social Development Canada cites an 18% unemployment rate among Canadian students and attributes worsening job prospects in part to a surge in non-permanent residents, including international students.

Lollipop Ladies on Building Sites Are the Visible Sign of Out of Control DEI

The gender warriors at Australia’s public broadcaster don’t get why so few women are interested in jobs in construction. Social engineering has successfully pushed women into many other previously male dominated jobs and professions but construction has proved a tough nut to crack.

Some years ago the ABC published an article quoting academics who had done research into why this wasn’t happening. Their brilliant conclusion? A particular problem was a culture of “presenteeism”. Construction apparently isn’t keen on people who don’t show up! “There is little tolerance for those who won’t commit, and part-time, shared or flexible work doesn’t exist,” lamented the academics.

And, they said, the problem is made worse by the “push to complete projects on time”.

As International Condemnations Mount Over Liberal MP’s Forced Labour Attack, Carney Plans $1,775-a-Head Fundraiser Co-Hosted by Michael Ma

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney has gone to ground.

Two days after Liberal Member of Parliament Michael Ma used his time at the House of Commons industry committee to demand that a sanctioned China expert personally confirm she had witnessed forced labour before her evidence could be taken seriously — a performance celebrated by Chinese Communist Party state media as a propaganda victory and condemned by international Uyghur organizations as an affront to Canada’s own recognition of genocide — Carney has issued no public statement.

The RCMP, the spy and the betrayal of national chief George Manuel

The secret agent was code numbered A-828 – Susannah of the Mounties

The secret agent was code numbered A-828.

Intelligence reports say the person was a “reliable source who is well acquainted with National Indian Brotherhood members.” An informer. And not just any informer. “Reliable” meant the person was a proven asset. So who were they?

A-828 was a spy for the RCMP Security Service, an infiltrator who in the 1970s penetrated the Assembly of First Nations’ predecessor while internationally respected Secwépemc leader George Manuel was national chief. From inside NIB, the spy leaked details about Manuel’s movements, private conversations, sensitive political plans, divisions in his office and more.

The All Non-White X-Files is Coming

The real conspiracy is white people.

Like ice hockey and white wine, the X-Files was just too white. Its leads were white which really meant that it was a white supremacist series. Fortunately it’s now being rebooted with non-white leaders for a series no one will watch because they’re a bunch of racists. At least that’s what we’ll be hearing later this year, I assume.
