UK church holds joint birthday celebration for Muhammad and Jesus

Mawlid (or Milad) is the Islamic festival commemorating the birthday of Mohammed. The only thing it has in common with Christmas is that it isn’t actually the day the celebrated baby was born. Yet All Saints Church in Kingtson upon Thames thinks there’s an interfaith syncretised opportunity to be found in holding a joint birthday celebration for both Mohammed and Jesus – so they put the flags out for both, rejoicing in both, eulogising both, solemnising both, glorifying both, honouring both…

For Many Americans, the Media Is Now Their God

The notion espoused by some in Christendom today that the United States was once occupied by an almost entirely God-fearing population is largely a myth. There has been and always will be a great deal of irreligious people in America, as there is in every place on this Earth. Historically speaking, the presence of a large population of atheists and agnostics is an important sign that a society is, at least to a large extent, free. Conversely, absolute uniformity of any kind is typically only accompanied by a tyrannical government.

In that sense—and in that sense alone—the lack of religion in the United States today can be viewed, even by Christians, as positive. But an equally fair analysis of our present state also reveals that our severe moral decay is destroying whole communities and creating a great deal of suffering.

Europe: Destroyed by the West’s Indifference?

  • Our media and intelligentsia are always on alert to defend everything coming from Islam, from women’s veils to the “right not be offended” by cartoons. The same establishment, however, lies in a coma when it comes to Christian symbols under attack.
  • The West today keeps on hiding its deepest secret: that there is an Islamic war going on against our own Judeo-Christian civilization.
  • “They want Christianity eradicated, and they want to convert all Muslims to their crusade… They want it to be a holy war. And they want Christians gone. And I don’t think that narrative is getting the attention it should get…” — Piers Morgan, Daily Mail.

Xi Replaces Pictures of Christ With Himself

Xi does not find this inspiring for some reason.

Chinese officials and residents in a rural area of Jiangxi province have revealed a government plan to “melt the hard ice” in the hearts of Christians towards communism by denying them pivotal poverty relief packages if they do not replace images of Jesus in their households with photos of President Xi Jinping.

One official stated that the move was necessary because Christians are “ignorant” and need to be taught to worship the state, not God.

The move is the latest in a string of crackdowns against Christianity in the Xi era. Xi’s regime views Christianity, which has experienced a popularity boom in the past decade, as a challenge to the supremacy of the Communist Party’s growing cult of personality around Xi himself.

Why doesn’t Xi have posters of this guy?

Colonel suspended for not thanking homosexual serviceman’s ‘spouse’

When a subordinate retires, it is customary but not required to give his or her spouse a certificate of appreciation. The optional note is recognition for the sacrifices spouses of servicemen and women have to make.

When a homosexual Master Sergeant with a male “wife” retired, Col. Bohannon asked the Staff Judge Advocate and his chaplain what he should do, because of Bohannon’s Christian faith cannot endorse sodomy.

From China to Europe, the world is becoming more dangerous for Christians

‘Persecuted and Forgotten?’ is the name of the latest report by Aid to the Church in Need. Unfortunately, there is no need for that question mark in the title. Both the persecution and the oblivion are facts. Christians have been victims of the genocide in Isis-controlled parts of Iraq and Syria. In 2011, there were 150,000 Christians in Aleppo and now there are 35,000. Persecution rises in other Muslim countries such as Pakistan, Sudan and Iran. In Nigeria, 1.8 million people have been displaced by Boko Haram.

Connecticut: Koran teacher who overstayed visa by 30 years avoids deportation in church

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement ordered Sajuti to board a plane for Indonesia on Tuesday, but Sajuti and his wife, Dhalia, instead took sanctuary in Meriden’s Unitarian Universalist Church. He is the third illegal immigrant to seek sanctuary in a Connecticut church this year, according to the Hartford Courant.

The Worldwide War Against Christianity

The issue of religious liberty has been at the forefront of American discourse for some years, reaching new and troubling heights of intensity during the last administration. The most obvious examples are the Affordable Healthcare Act and its mandates and threats to conscience, and the assault on small Christian business owners who have been lambasted, and their livelihoods threatened because they refuse to deny their faith and beliefs, and acquiesce to the demands of the radical LGBTQ agenda and its supporters in the democrat party, the media, entertainment and business communities.

The Future of Christianity

The big lie being peddled in the media and by the liberal elites is that all religions are the same, and therefore Christianity is no different from Islam or any other religion. Christians aren’t allowed to call out this great lie without being branded bigots or accused of promoting hate speech

As an intentional result of political correctness, third-wave feminism and intersectional theory, collectively known as Cultural Marxism, the West is being habituated to an unstable social experiment. While some of us see the experiment as a slippery slope, signalling the end of the West, others say the idea of a slippery slope is fallacious. They see no causal connection between accepting X and the inevitability of Y, since they won’t admit a correlation between X and Y. According to this logic, for example, the widespread adoption of contraception, which allowed women reproductive autonomy, didn’t inevitably lead to the normalisation of, or create marketing opportunities for, pornography and everything once regarded as sexual perversion.
