Major League Baseball (MLB) Commissioner Rob Manfred has confirmed players will not be fined or penalized for wearing Bible verses on their uniforms during Pride Night events.

As Breitbart News reported, the MLB issued a warning to three San Francisco Giants pitchers after they displayed Bible verses on their hats during Pride Night. The incident occurred last Friday when Giants right-hander Landen Roupp displayed “Gen 9:12-16” on his Pride Night hat, which was followed by relievers JT Brubaker and Ryan Walker also featuring Bible verses on their official Pride Night hats.

Starmer’s resignation is a cautionary tale for Carney and Poilievre

To be a successful leader in politics, you need a few things: a vision for the country, a plan to realize it and an ability to articulate why you are the right person to lead the journey.

British prime minister Keir Starmer possesses none of these things. That’s why he’s been forced to resign his post. It’s expected he’ll be replaced by soon-to-be-former mayor of Manchester Andy Burnham, who possesses only one of them.

I think the greater risk is to Carney.

He will implode as the public becomes aware of his grifting ways, ugly personality and economy wrecking schemes.

But the resolution is largely symbolic because, even after passing both chambers of Congress, it will not be sent to Trump for his consideration and does not carry the force of the law.

A handful of Republicans joined Democrats in Tuesday’s 50-48 vote. The same measure was passed by the US House of Representatives earlier this month.

Mark Carney sidelined from at least 17 government deliberations because of corporate conflicts

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney‘s corporate past has prevented him from participating in at least 17 “situations” involving his own government, including discussions of a payout of up to $3.1 billion to support housing loans, the possible export of electricity to the United States, and the creation of this week’s new nuclear energy plan.

The revelation is contained in letters that the Privy Council Office (PCO) — the branch of the bureaucracy that supports the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) — sent to a parliamentary committee that probed the “screens” that Carney set up last year to protect himself from conflicts of interest.

Five-year sentence cut in half for armed carjacker because pre-trial custody was ‘harsh and demeaning’

A judge defended the one-day sentence he handed a carjacker who stole a Toronto driver’s Mercedes at gunpoint, blaming the man’s jailers for failing the community.

Jaiden Robinson, who spent 809 days (two years and 79 days) in pre-trial custody, pleaded guilty in the Ontario Court of Justice to robbery with a prohibited weapon for a March 2024, mid-afternoon carjacking at the Shops at Don Mills. Both the Crown and Robinson’s lawyer recommended he get the mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison.
