Specifically the number of non-EU migrants on the payrolls rose from 82,000 in January 2020 to 370,000 in December 2025 – an increase of 290,000 and up 355 per cent over five years compared to just 11,000 extra young UK nationals.

EU May Stop Sheltering Military-Age Ukrainian Men
European Union member states are weighing whether Ukrainian men of military age should be excluded from future extensions of the bloc’s temporary protection scheme for people fleeing the war with Russia.
According to an internal Council of the EU document seen by Euractiv, one of the options under consideration would be to extend temporary protection while narrowing its eligibility criteria. The paper references “the exclusion of men of conscription age” as well as individuals who did not leave Ukraine legally. The current framework is due to remain in effect until March 2027, and any such restriction would apply only to future applicants seeking temporary protection status.

Suspect Tyler Robinson’s lawyers sought to bar news cameras from a five-day preliminary hearing set for July, when the prosecution is expected to lay out evidence against the 23-year-old defendant.
District Judge Tony Graf rejected that motion.

Central Canadian political elites are upset with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s decision to hold a referendum that might eventually lead to a sovereign Alberta.
While sovereigntist sentiment in Quebec has long been acknowledged and accommodated in English Canada, Western alienation is treated with who-do-they-think-they-are condescension.
That condescension led to the referendum. Decades of decisions made in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal have stoked the anger that led Ms. Smith to call this vote. The Laurentian elites are every bit as responsible for this situation as is the Premier or anyone else.
