The hall at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Calgary is packed. Three gigantic, artistically painted wooden Easter eggs dominate the stage. Heavily accented voices rise and fall amid the chatter as attendees nibble on poppyseed cake and other Ukrainian delicacies. No one wears the bright blue-and-yellow of the war’s early days, but embroidered vyshyvanky peek from under sweaters and jackets.

Is Saving Europe Still Possible?
London. Sunday, May 10. A protest against rising anti-Semitism is organized in front of the prime minister’s residence. About 20,000 people are present, mostly Jews. Secretary of State for Work and Pensions Pat McFadden, who addressed them, was jeered and booed. “I feel your pain,” he told the crowd. The reply was, “Action, no more words.”
When British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, a few days before the protest, visited Golders Green, a heavily Jewish area of London where two Jews had been stabbed on April 29, he was greeted with chants of “Keir Starmer, Jew Harmer.”
I think we will face an increasingly hostile, Islamized Europe making further investment in a tied future is just good money after bad.

The World Cup Comes to Canada. But Does Anyone Care
It does not feel as if the biggest sporting event on the planet is about to get underway in Canada. Blame staggering ticket prices, FIFA’s tyrannical resale rules and an unglamorous slate of matches in Toronto and Vancouver — Canada’s participation in three notwithstanding.
Thousands of tickets to the opening game in Toronto remain unsold, and not a single match in either city has sold out. This was predictable, given that top-tier tickets for Canada’s opening match against Bosnia and Herzegovina start at $3,000, and those for other matches in both cities start around $600.
I love the game, played it all through my youth but I would never vote to let FIFA pick my pocket.
Toronto’s Grandees had the city’s bureaucrats literally sneak the World Cup in under the eyes of voters.
Someone is getting paid and it ain’t you and it ain’t me.
The World Cup like tax payer subsidized professional sports stadiums are about making rich people richer with your money.
America’s War on Men
“All men are created equal,” are the opening words of the Declaration of Independence from that annus mirabilis 1776. Male humans ruled the world. They provided our food and other material necessities of life, protected the people, including women, children, and the aged, from foreign enemies and domestic criminals and bullies. They invented new ways to produce things, inspired us with their poetry and philosophy. Our founding fathers (not “founding people”) are rightly venerated even to this day.
Conrad Black: Mark Carney notches some wins
Regular readers know that this column has not been an inexhaustible source of flattering reflections on the Carney government. This makes it a particular pleasure to support a number of the prime minister’s initiatives last week. The tenor of his speech to the Economic Club of New York was a complete change from the antagonism of his confected Churchillian defiance in his election performance last year based on selling our gullible countrymen the canard that President Trump was on a personal vendetta “to break us.”
Honduran Drug Gangs Rule the Streets of San Francisco
It’s 3 a.m. in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, and an all-night, drug-fueled party has been raging for hours. The sidewalks are littered with trash and human feces. Addicts huddle in the alleys, inhaling fentanyl fumes through plastic straws; others are slumped over, barely conscious. Makeshift homeless encampments line block after block.
Dealers are everywhere. On the street corners, groups of men dressed in dark hoodies and face masks sell drugs. These are the “Hondos,” migrants from Honduras who have taken over the San Francisco drug trade. Night after night, they turn the Tenderloin into a lucrative, open-air drug market.
TERRAZZANO: Prime Minister Mark Carney goes over budget – twice
You’d think a former banker would be better at watching the government’s bank account.
But in only about seven months, Prime Minister Mark Carney already managed to go over budget, twice.
Elitist Media Reveal Their True Feelings About America’s 250th Birthday: What’s There to Celebrate?
As America celebrates its 250th birthday, the elitist media seem to be collectively asking the question: “What’s there to celebrate?”
From CNN Bakari Sellers insisting there isn’t much difference for Black Americans in 1896 and 2026 to New York Times columnist Paul Krugman calling for a “thorough purging of [MAGA] from the United States” to MS NOW host Ali Velshi feeling a “deep unease” about honoring the birthday of “our so-called democracy,” the media elites have revealed their real feelings about this country.

Britain Is Erasing White Heroes From Its Money
The Bank of England has decided that Winston Churchill, Alan Turing, and Jane Austen are too controversial to appear on British banknotes. So they’re replacing them with frogs.
Tribal aggression surges in what was once Canada as the 3rd World Cup approaches
Multicultural pride surges in Canada as the World Cup approaches
It was the kind of pitch-perfect evening amateur soccer players and their parents dream of all winter. Months of withering brutal weather gave way to soccer abandon on the turf, as two of Ottawa’s best junior teams clashed in the sunlight.
Watching on the sidelines was Nathaniel Salhani, a soccer-obsessed 8-year-old who could not wait to get the words out when asked if he was excited about Canada hosting the World Cup.
“I’m going to the Canada, Ireland soccer game!” he beamed.
Lying Lammy says he told JD Vance his Nowak comments were ‘wrong’
Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy has said he called US Vice-President JD Vance to tell him he was “wrong” in the comments he made about the murder of teenager Henry Nowak.
Vance blamed the death of the 18-year-old British student, who was fatally stabbed by Vickrum Digwa last year, on the “mass invasion of migrants” and said the “only response” was “righteous anger”.
Lammy told the BBC he had spoken to Vance on Saturday and told the vice-president the killing “has got nothing to do with mass migration”
Lammy is a racist who Defends Two Tier policing.
Liberal Momentum Slows as Approval, Optimism, and Carney’s Ratings Retreat
This latest wave of Abacus Data’s federal political tracking finds the political environment becoming more competitive after several months of steadily improving conditions for Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Liberal government.
Government approval has fallen noticeably from its record high. Carney’s personal ratings have softened. The Liberal lead over the Conservatives has narrowed. At the same time, Canadians have become less optimistic about the direction of the country, reversing some of the gains we have seen since Carney became Prime Minister.
Even the Elbow Zombies will wake up and smell the ersatz coffee eventually.
