Ontario signs contract to import electricity from U.S.

Only weeks after Premier Doug Ford threatened to cut off electricity exports to the United States as retaliation in the ongoing trade war, Ontario has signed a contract to import electricity from New York state through the winter.

The 600-megawatt contract starting Nov. 1 will provide power to compensate for “facility maintenance,” the Independent Electricity System Operator said in its announcement of the deal, without being more specific.

The Pickering nuclear plant was shut down in September for a multi-year refurbishment and this contract will partially replace its emissions-free electricity with carbon-intensive power from oil- and gas-fired plants.

Milei adviser claims UK being ‘colonised by Islam’ as Falklands row grows

The chief adviser to Argentina’s president, Javier Milei, has cited the election of Sagal Abdi-Wali to the UK parliament as evidence of the Islamisation of Britain and further reason for Argentina to take sovereignty over the Falkland Islands.

In a post on social media, Santiago Caputo, who is reportedly taking a key role in Argentina’s strategy over the Falklands, suggested that the taking of the south Atlantic islands was necessary to prevent the “interference of an Islamic state” in the region.

Milei shared Caputo’s post on the social media platform X.

Rotherham. Their rape gang scandal first came to public attention in the 1990s. I don’t recall where I read about it first, but what took place was more than shocking. Young British girls, almost all underage, many not even teens, were systematically drugged; groomed; and violently, serially gang-raped by men of Pakistani heritage. Many if not most of the perpetrators were second-generation immigrants. Let’s just say they didn’t assimilate very well.

Rotherham was the face of this insanity, and for a while it was reported here (not enough), but not much in Britain. Rarely by the British media.

This unrest is not simply a clash between immigrants and France, or between Islam and European civilisation, as Donald Trump has tried to portray it. It is worse than that.
