Canadian Bank Discriminates Against U.S. Gun Companies While Courting Business

It should be no surprise that a Canadian bank would be in lockstep with that country’s disdain for lawful firearm ownership. After all, Canada’s bent on confiscating lawfully owned firearms from owners who did nothing to violate the law. The outlook for personal freedoms in Canada is decidedly murkier after Canada’s ill-advised crackdown on protests against the government that led to arrests of hundreds in 2020. It seems the stereotype of Canadian “nice” isn’t holding up these days.

That’s especially true when it comes to the firearm industry.

Not a surprise. RBC was incompetent to the point the point of criminality in matters of Kathy’s estate.

Did Iran hack water systems in seven US states?

Many were surprised last week when the US state of Minnesota reported that more than 30 of its state water systems had faced a “co-ordinated cyber-attack”.

Days later the FBI warned cyber-attacks had been reported in seven states and “some of that activity degraded water operations”.

The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (Cisa) is reportedly probing a possible Iranian connection to the Minnesota attacks, according to US media. Cisa would not comment.

25 states sue over Trump’s new tariffs, calling them ‘pretext’ to replace his old ones

WASHINGTON (AP) — Twenty-five states sued the Trump administration Monday over its latest tariffs, calling them a pretext for replacing import taxes the Supreme Court struck down in February.

The United States last month imposed double-digit tariffs on 59 countries and the European Union, charging that they had not done enough to crack down on imports produced by forced labor. The new tariffs took effect just as the clock ran out on temporary tariffs President Donald Trump had turned to after the Supreme Court defeat.

Banning Christian Prayer at Official Military Events While Allowing Indigenous Practices Is a Double Standard, Chaplains Say

Two active-duty Canadian military chaplains are questioning why Christian prayer and other faith practices are banned during addresses by military personnel at official ceremonies while indigenous spiritual practices are exempted, saying it amounts to a double standard.

“I do not understand why First Nations are exempt from this policy. This is obviously a double standard,” said one chaplain who asked to remain anonymous because he is currently serving.

“Some faith traditions are apparently more equal than others.”

CHARLEBOIS: Supply management meant to save Canadian dairy is now holding it back

CHARLEBOIS: Supply management meant to save Canadian dairy is now holding it back

On Aug. 19, the United States is expected to impose a 50% tariff on selected Canadian dairy products. Predictably, Ottawa will denounce Donald Trump and portray any discussion about reforming supply management as capitulation. That would be a mistake. The tariffs do not cover all dairy exports. Cheese, butter, yogurt and conventional milk are generally excluded. They primarily target ingredients such as whey, milk powders, lactose, casein and milk-protein concentrates.

Dems’ Open Border Policy Is A Form Of Hybrid Warfare—Against The American People

Dems’ Open Border Policy Is A Form Of Hybrid Warfare—Against The American People

The invasion last week of the Spanish city of Ceuta by some 60,000 Moroccans, mostly young military-age men, was a useful demonstration of how mass migration and indeed entire populations can be weaponized and deployed in what amounts to hybrid warfare against sovereign nations.

In this particular case, the reason for the deployment likely has to do with the Moroccan state’s longstanding irredentist claims in North Africa, which include the coastal enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla—the plazas de soberanía along the North African coast that have belonged to Spain for more than four centuries but which Morocco has claimed since its independence in 1956.

Spanish PM Accuses Europe of Prejudice for Not Wanting to be Invaded by Migrants

The Moroccan invasion of Spain happened for 3 reasons, 2 of which involved open borders decisions by Spanish authorities, and a crucial one of which was the decision by PM Pedro Sanchez to provide legal status to 500,000 migrants.

Poland rushes to spend billions on military to deter Russia from a direct confrontation with NATO

Poland rushes to spend billions on military to deter Russia from a direct confrontation with NATO

Poland, with an imminent high-priced military ramp-up, is betting that the cost of peace is cheaper than the price of war with Russia.

In a watershed defence spend, coming from a European Union loan, Warsaw is pouring nearly 44 billion euros ($71 billion) into stepping up its military infrastructure. Why now? That’s obvious for anyone following Moscow’s unyielding provocations.
