Canadian Public Sector Job Growth Outstripped Private Sector by 14% in Past Decade: Study
Canada’s public sector workforce grew 14 percent faster than the private sector’s between 2015 and 2025, reflecting a decade-long trend of increased government hiring, a new study suggests.
Public sector employment grew by 29 percent over the decade, while private sector employment, which includes self-employed individuals, increased by 15 percent, according to data reported by the Fraser Institute.

Why Today’s Islam Is Incompatible With The American Way Of Life
This spring, Indiana’s Republican Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith called Islam “a demonic death cult” and said Americans needed “permission to hate again.” The phrasing, at least as excerpted, was unfortunate, and the backlash has been as expected. Several Muslim advocacy groups have called Beckwith’s comments “dangerous” and “hateful.”
But it is worth asking what he was reaching for, because the impulse beneath the words is not imaginary or shameful. Americans sense, correctly, that some systems in the world aspire to unmake the freedoms that protect them and their children, and that a free people is entitled to say so plainly and to resist.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Many Haitians in the United States, having fled environmental disasters, political upheaval, and gang violence at home, are living in fear again, this time in their adopted country.
Nearly 300,000 Haitians have had Temporary Protected Status (TPS), a relief program established by former U.S. president Barack Obama that provided work authorization, protection from deportation and travel documentation to eligible foreigners whose home countries were deemed unsafe.

The Sweden Democrats (SD) are calling for a much tougher national response to Islamism, saying that the ideology poses one of the greatest threats to Swedish democracy in modern times.
In a recent debate article, party secretary Mattias Bäckström Johansson and MP Johnny Svedin said that decades of large-scale immigration from predominantly Muslim countries have reshaped parts of Sweden, creating neighborhoods where cultures and values are increasingly at odds with Swedish society.
