A teenager has recalled the terrifying moment she was dragged into the woods and raped by a Nigerian migrant who dodged deportation because it would ‘breach his human rights’.
Gift Oladele, 24, targeted the 19-year-old as she walked home on an isolated footpath in Wrexham, Wales, after a night out on September 7 last year.
The teenager has now revealed that after the attack, Oladele said to her: ‘I think you’ve had enough now. At least you have been raped by someone good-looking.’

Khdiga R. Metwally filed June 15 for Milton Wards 1 and 2. Nominations closed Aug. 21. The Town of Milton lists her against Andrew J. Wood. Incumbent Donna Danielli holds the seat.
The vote is Oct. 26.

King letter fuels Harry’s fears that Palace is pulling security strings

Trump Plans to Cut Canadian Products Out of Government Contracts
President Donald Trump said he would direct the General Services Administration and USTR to remove Canadian-origin products from federal government contracts, hitting back at Ottawa over retaliatory tariffs and escalating the trade war between the two neighbors.
The moves will take place “unless Canada restores full and fair reciprocity for American Farmers and Companies,” Trump announced in a Truth Social post on Tuesday. Trump said the so-called Multiple Award Schedules are worth more than $50 billion each year.

What We Have Forgotten About 9/11
Twenty-five years after 9/11, the Islamist war against the liberal, democratic West still shapes our daily lives. Most Americans recognize that certain people and groups around the world want to destroy us—sometimes for reasons we can comprehend, sometimes not. Remembering 9/11 stands, in part, for the proposition that we will not allow the terrorists to win. Our laws, at least as written, have codified that remembrance. They reflect our national conclusion that foreign terrorist organizations are among the most depraved criminal enterprises imaginable. It was once commonplace to hear President George W. Bush declare that you were either part of the free world or aligned with the terrorists. Yet 25 years later, that ultimatum seems far less self-evident.

Near the Border, Americans Fear Losing Ties With Canadians
As Canada imposes retaliatory tariffs on the United States, Americans near the border say the trade war is deepening divisions between the two countries and hope the split does not turn into a more lasting breakup.
Costs for American businesses are up. Border crossings are down as Canadians choose to spend their money at home. And many Canadians are downright outraged over the actions of President Trump.
The trade war has threatened not only business but, sometimes, the very personal bonds that define America’s northern border.
German politicians are melting down
This weekend I learned two things about Germany.
The first is Hitler did not invent the autobahn. The summer before Hitler’s election, Konrad Adenauer, Oberbürgermeister (mayor) of Cologne, opened the first autobahn. In fact, the Nazis opposed building autobahns until they took office and realized that it was a good boondoggle—staatliche Großarbeitkickbackerei—to reward patrons with no-show jobs and no-bid contracts.
Germany takes a chilling turn to the far right
If there was any doubt radical change is under way in Germany, it was answered this weekend by voters in Saxony-Anhalt.
For the first time since the infamous Nazi epoch, a far-right party has claimed victory in a state election. The win by the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party – designated an extremist group by domestic intelligence agencies in numerous German states – has shaken the political foundation of Europe. It represented an irrevocable repudiation of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and his centre-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU), and of mainstream parties more generally.
Supporters of mass immigration seem a little antsy of late.
Hamas’s War on Trump’s Board of Peace
The Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group has suddenly stepped up its rhetorical attacks on US President Donald J. Trump’s Board of Peace. They are accusing the body of promoting the Israeli narrative, failing to pressure Israel and interfering in Palestinian affairs.
There is something else that deserves attention: the timing.

Shares of Canadian jet maker Bombardier Inc. fell as much as 7% before paring some of those losses, after President Donald Trump sent a social media post suggesting the company should be blocked from US sales.
“NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES!” Trump wrote on Monday. “If they want our Market, they must build here, and stop treating America like a ‘piggybank.’”
