I’m old enough to remember when we called it ‘conquest’ when a mob of masked men stormed a town hall or a parliament building to raise the flag of a foreign nation. I can recall a time when the violent invasion of a nation’s high seats of civic power by a faceless swarm draped in the standard of a distant land was considered an act of brazen, treasonous hostility. So why do so many insist on referring to the thuggish usurping of the streets of Paris and beyond by gangs flying the Palestine flag as a ‘protest’?

The rash of Somali gang shootings in Minnesota went national after shots were fired outside a homecoming game at a suburban high school sending students and families running for their lives.
The Eden Prairie High School shooting was linked to a rash of other alleged Somali gang shootings in St. Louis Park, Columbia Heights and Burnsville. Only last year, pro-crime DA Mary Moritarty, had falsely claimed that there are no “roving Somali gangs terrorizing people.”
Earlier this month, I wrote that universities across the country are finally getting together to address the epidemic of antisemitism that has broken out on campuses across the country.
I referred to a review of antisemitic incidents at Toronto Metropolitan University undertaken by retired justice Mary Lou Benotto and delivered to TMU last August. At the time, I said pages from the report were redacted on privacy grounds (several students were charged after the protests under review).
Hundreds of schools across Northern Ireland and Scotland have closed after receiving a bomb threat.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said ‘up to 300’ institutions were emailed the threat – which is believed to be a hoax – adding it came from outside the UK.
Paul Givan, Stormont’s education minister, said the warning was signed ‘Allahu Akbar’ but was not understood to be viable.
Canadians are being sold “associate membership” in the European Union without being told what it means or what Ottawa has already offered Brussels in the backrooms. A recent Nanos poll found significant support for the idea among Canadians. Were respondents shown the leaked document Ottawa drafted for discussions with Brussels, given a clear definition of associate membership, or reminded that Canada already has comprehensive trade and defence agreements with the EU? In a sprawling 200-page study, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) argues that, through an organized campaign of pro-Palestinian activism and anti-Islamophobia rhetoric, the Brotherhood and other groups are helping to foment antisemitism in Canada. The organizations, the report alleges, are often funded through highly sophisticated financial channels that run through Qatar, and have embedded themselves in some of Canada’s biggest universities.

A Canadian friend of mine, who is currently teaching in China, recently sent me an interesting video. It recorded a dark-skinned man who spoke perfect English, telling how he and his family, in 1996, immigrated to Canada. They “went through the process,” legally, to become Canadian citizens, working hard, earning what they got, and honoring the country. That kind of immigrant most countries don’t mind having.
But, he said, “it was a whole lot different back then.”

The creator of the ‘Palestine poppy’ is an Oxford-educated paediatrician who has written books for Muslim teenagers justifying stoning and warning that homosexuality is ‘a test from Allah’. Abdul Qader Ismail was accused of trying to ‘hijack’ Remembrance Day after he began selling an enamel pin shaped like a poppy in the colours of the Palestinian flag for £1.78 on eBay. The pin is listed as ‘not for profit’ with money being donated to Gaza charities. The Spectator can now reveal that Ismail is an active member of Greens for Palestine and co-sponsored the group’s ‘Zionism is Racism’ policy. He is also the author of a book series titled An Introduction to Challenging Topics for Muslim Teens.

For weeks, the left-wing media were breathlessly reporting that the crowds for Saturday’s “No Kings” rallies were going to be enormous. It was going to be a sign of American outrage at the “imperialism and cronyism” of the Trump administration. They said people were “outraged” and would show up in huge numbers to support Democrats taking control of the U.S. Congress in the midterm election and to send President Donald Trump a message that the American people want “No Kings.”
