In Europe, recently, it was found that a news outlet that had published a speech by US Vice President J.D. Vance has now been accused of journalistic misconduct. In February 2025, Vance gave his now famous speech at the Munich Security Conference, in which he sharply criticized Europe’s heavy-handed censorship and its rapidly deteriorating democratic values. The next day, Belgian news website 21News published Vance’s speech in full, without commentary.
Defence Minister expected to lay out future of Snowbirds’ jets on Tuesday
Offensive to Liberals, Transvestites and Jihadis[/caption]Temporarily grounding Canada’s iconic Snowbirds may be required to ensure the aging planes don’t weigh on broader military operations, says a former chief of defence staff.
Tom Lawson, also a former fighter pilot, offered his view ahead of Defence Minister David McGuinty’s planned Tuesday announcement on the fate of the aerobatic flying unit known for its red-and-white jets.
Chipping away like termites.
Morning Joe’s Heilemann: ‘MAGA Base’ Wants ‘Brown People Sent Out of the Country’
On Friday’s Morning Joe, the MS NOW liberal morning program discussed a possible ramp-up of immigration enforcement and deportations in the coming months, as frequent panelist and Puck News partner John Heilemann told co-host Mika Brzezinski that the “MAGA base” wanted more deportations and “they want to see more brown people sent out of the country.”
CBC turns Canada into a mockery
Recent incidents in which a taxpayer-funded co-production between CBC and the Indigenous television station APTN targeted authors, historians and politicians with prank “interviews” are as disturbing as they are bizarre.
A fake production company under the name Forge Media, hired by CBC, contacted several people who have questioned the cancel culture around Sir John A. Macdonald and claims of unmarked graves at residential schools.
Why Did Torched Ghost Homes of Palisades and Altadena Just Miraculously Reappear on Google Maps?
It’s easy to understand why thousands of Pacific Palisades fire victims are shocked — and skeptical — about why their former homes have suddenly reappeared in online maps. The timing comes right before a hard-fought mayoral race in which the complete incompetence displayed by the Los Angeles mayor and her staff before and after this fire is the front-and-center issue. Was this Silicon Valley’s spiff to fellow traveler Karen Bass?

Ottawa still pledging to double construction pace despite home building headwinds
OTTAWA – The federal Liberal government is sticking to its pledge to double the pace of home building even as headwinds buffet the construction industry.
Prime Minister Mark Carney promised in his 2025 election platform to make investments that would double the pace of housing construction over the next decade to drive down the costs of rent and home ownership.
Hateful liars.
Paul McCartney Hopes ‘Hey Jude‘ Can Unite Republicans and Democrats
Legendary singer Paul McCartney has no interest in seeing America further divided and even expressed hope that one of his signature tunes can heal the fissure.
The former “Beatles” icon revealed to The Rest Is Entertainment podcast that he likes it when he sees whole audiences singing “Hey Jude” together, adding that such moments give him hope for Republicans and Democrats living in harmony.
Nope.
No ‘down payment’ on USMCA. Here’s what to offer instead
A report that Washington wanted a “down payment” from Canada just to begin talks on extending the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) provoked a wide Canadian consensus that we should refuse to pay for the “privilege” of sitting at the table. That instinct is right. But refusal is not a strategy. If Canada wants to protect its interests, it needs to show up with a clear plan. Here, I propose one built around an underappreciated truth in Washington.
We are about to have the door slammed in our face.
Justice is coming for victims of dangerous illegal-migrant truckers
A facet of the trucking industry little known to the general public has had a big impact on highway safety — and last week a US Supreme Court ruling ensured that it will have to take responsibility for the rigs it helps send out on the road.
That means innocent Americans who have been maimed or killed in big-rig crashes caused by negligent truck drivers may finally pursue justice.
And freight brokers that chase profits by contracting with unsafe trucking carriers — particularly those that hire unvetted illegal-immigrant drivers — will have to rethink their business practices.
New book alleges ‘fraud, tax evasion and culture of deception’ at ‘green’ EU & Canadian EV Battery darling Northvolt
A new book by award-winning Swedish investigative journalist Gunnar Lindstedt alleges there was a culture of deception, financial mismanagement and regulatory failure at the heart of the bankrupt Swedish battery giant Northvolt.
Released yesterday, The Northvolt Case (Northvoltfallet) reveals that Sweden’s Economic Crime Authority (Ekobrottsmyndigheten) has quietly opened a formal investigation into the company for alleged tax evasion, accounting fraud and even potential fraud by deception (svindleri). These are allegations that, if proven, could implicate not just the company’s leadership but its auditors and board members as well.

UK companies linked to payments for small boat crossings, BBC finds
People smugglers are directing migrants to pay for illegal Channel crossings using a network of UK-registered businesses, a BBC investigation has found.
We secretly filmed staff at a shop in south-east London telling an undercover researcher that nearly £3,000 in cash could be deposited with them and sent to a smuggler in France.
“You put your money here. If your friends reach [the UK], you shouldn’t come back,” we were told at the mobile phone store in Woolwich.
What a massive racket. England and France are actively working toward their own erasure.
Who is Jamil Jivani — and why you should be paying attention to him
OTTAWA — Aside from being a member of Parliament, Jamil Jivani has no official roles in Pierre Poilievre’s Conservative party.
Elected to the House of Commons in a 2024 byelection, he possesses less political experience than most of his caucus colleagues.
Yet no one in his party has had more success in pushing themselves to the forefront of a series of defining debates than the Bowmanville—Oshawa North MP.
Not the hit job you’d expect from the Star.
Thousands gather in Washington DC for daylong America-themed prayer rally
Thousands of people streamed on to the National Mall for a daylong prayer rally on Sunday billed as a “rededication of our country as One Nation Under God”.
Against the backdrop of the Washington Monument, worship music blared from a stage that made clear the event’s Christian focus. Arched stained-glass windows, set underneath grand columns resembling a federal building, depicted the nation’s founders alongside a white cross.
“America is done with God, and God is not done with America,” said Pastor Samuel Rodriguez.
The White House-backed event has drawn broad criticism for blurring the lines between church and state, as prominent Republican officials appeared to speak alongside a slate of mostly evangelical speakers.
It upset the Guardian, that’s always a good thing.
Pentagon Suspends 86-Year-Old Canada-US Defense Board, Citing Ottawa’s Failure to Meet Commitments, in Direct Rebuke of Carney’s Davos Speech
WASHINGTON – On Monday morning, the Pentagon’s senior defense strategist suspended the oldest bilateral defense institution in North American history and pointed the announcement at Mark Carney’s Davos speech — a four-month-old address the Canadian prime minister’s admirers had called Churchillian, and that Washington now treats as a case study in the gap between rhetoric and reality.
A strong Canada that prioritizes hard power over rhetoric benefits us all. Unfortunately, Canada has failed to make credible progress on its defense commitments. DoW is pausing the Permanent Joint Board on Defense to reassess how this forum benefits shared North American…
