What in the world is going on in Canada? Sorry, but this is not the Canada we always associated with hockey and beautiful lakes for fishing. This new version of Canada is hard to understand. Sorry to say it again, but woke is killing the Canadians!
Have you corrected your racist robot?
Last week, while vacationing in Lisbon, I found myself striking up a conversation at the hotel bar with a middle-aged couple who spoke English with a distinctly American accent (which is to say, my accent). Call them Frank and Laura. At some point, our small talk turned to that most American of topics: “So, what do you do?” Frank asked. I told them that I’m a magazine editor, and this prompted Laura to reveal that she, too, edits for a living. How wonderful.
Justice Centre warns Hamilton mayor, police over efforts to block DomCon conference
The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms is warning the City of Hamilton and its police service that efforts to prevent a controversial political conference from being held in the city may violate Charter-protected freedom of expression.
Lawyers funded by the Justice Centre sent a warning letter to the city and Hamilton Police Service after Mayor Andrea Horwath and police publicly opposed the Dominion Society of Canada’s DomCon conference, scheduled for Saturday.
Judge Throws Out 9/11 Mastermind Confession Because He Wasn’t Told About ‘Right to Remain Silent’
Using the Article III system to try Al Qaeda terrorists was a reasonable solution, the trouble is that military tribunal personnel in this century look nothing like the guys who took a smoke break and sentenced Nazi saboteurs to death during WWII. Their ideal is A Few Good Men, they’re liberals if not outright leftists, and they’re far more likely to be on the side of the terrorists than to be on our side.
‘I Think We’re in a War’: Texas Pastors Gather for Training on Islamification Threat
A group with special operations and intelligence skills and filmmaker Chris Burgard teamed up on Saturday to teach pastors in East Texas how to respond to the rise of Islam in the Lone Star State.
The Allied Special Intelligence Group is an organization that uses its knowledge of special operations military skills, counterintelligence, and human intelligence to educate and train citizens on how to “legally and lawfully, delay, disrupt, dismantle, and remove Communists/Marxists and Terrorists networks from our communities in order to restore and protect our Constitutional Republic.”
‘If it’s made in the US, I don’t buy it’: Canadians on boycotting Trump’s America
For William McDonald, 38, a diesel mechanic from Thunder Bay, Ontario, “Canadian is always the first choice,” even if it means his weekly bills are higher.
“As soon as Trump started putting those tariffs on in February [last year], I started boycotting US goods,” he said. “Avoiding American products has driven my costs up, and I’m still happy to do it.
“I used to drink US beer, but now I drink Canadian beer, and that costs me an extra C$1,000 (£531/US$720) a year. Likewise, groceries cost about C$50 more a week, but you work that extra hour to pay for it.”
The town where Thursday’s a ‘no-go day’ for women: Locals blame bussed-in migrants for wolf-whistling schoolgirls, theft and violence – while far-Right agitators fan the flames
By 10am it was eerily quiet. The previous day saw market traders, hundreds of shoppers and families enjoying lunch alfresco in the late summer sun. But by Thursday morning, Braintree in Essex was a ghost town.
And then, shortly before 11am, the first minibus arrived like clockwork from Wethersfield asylum accommodation site and a group of young men disembarked, smartphones in hand, one wearing a Covid-style mask to hide his face.
‘They hang around the bus station and they whistle at the schoolgirls coming off the buses,’ complained 66-year-old local Mike Readon. ‘It’s horrendous. Lots of women just avoid the town entirely on a Thursday because it’s a totally different environment.
“Far Right Agitators” what an asinine headline. No wonder Britain is dying.
Carney government asks court to strike down climate litigation
The federal government is asking a court to toss out a high-profile environmental lawsuit, arguing that it’s not required to update Canada’s climate plan to meet national emissions reduction targets.
The government also says it’s not the court’s role to make or direct climate policy, and has filed a motion asking the court to strike the case before it goes to full hearings.
Must be interfering in Carney’s profiteering.
How Trump Loyalists Are Taking Over American Media
hat is happening to American media right now is unique and deserves far more attention in Europe than it has received. This isn’t just about lawsuits for outrageous sums of money, but about massive corporate takeovers that will have lasting effects on the entire media landscape.
The most politically interesting part isn’t that President Trump has collected $86.5 million in settlements so far. It’s what’s happening at the same time.
ROBSON: Canadian YouTuber runs drug and migrant-smuggling network while RCMP turns a blind eye
Controversial Canadian YouTuber Hicham Jerando, already known to Quebec courts and previously examined in the Western Standard, is now at the centre of a criminal file of an entirely different magnitude.
British citizenship has become meaningless
I went back to my hometown recently, a small suburb in north-west London. I strolled the streets, stopped by the crumbling library where we did our homework, visited the convent where I was educated (it’s a block of flats now – isn’t everything?). And I’m going to tell you something I’ve been keeping to myself since that day: while I was there I didn’t hear a word of English.
It really hit me later in the evening, on the Tube home, when I heard a young English fella yapping on his phone. ‘This teenage blather is the first thing I’ve understood today’, I thought to myself. And you know what? I was grateful for it. I’m at that age where I find mobile chatter on trains irksome. Not this time. The boy’s voice hit me like thunder, a sudden, blinding bolt of home.
On the American side of Lake Ontario, how Donald Trump has strained the ties that bind: ‘You guys don’t hate us, do you?’
CAPE VINCENT, N.Y.—It’s just after 7:40 p.m. when news of the executive order reaches the squat white cottage underneath the lighthouse.
Pat Schamerhorn is locking up the gift shop. She lives just down the road, in the house with the picket fence, with views of the end of Lake Ontario and the start of the St. Lawrence River out her front door.
She decided to head home early, catching the last wisps of an achingly beautiful sunset dipping below the horizon, when news arrives — in person, in the form of a Toronto Star reporter and photographer.
Oh come on Star, Elbows Up is driven by the inbred Anti-Americanism afflicting the Liberal-Left in Canada.

Iceland Rushes Aboard the EU Sinking Ship
As the “Big Three” convened in Potsdam in July 1945, Britain counted votes from its first postwar parliamentary elections. Prime Minister Winston Churchill departed for London, soon to be replaced by Labour leader Clement Attlee. Stalin, confident that Western elections could be rigged or substantially influenced, was especially astonished at the result; he reportedly suspected it was a ruse of British intelligence. Having led the country through its darkest hour, the war hero Churchill was unceremoniously booted from office.
Carney lusts for the EU even though it’s possible that Europe will be lost.
WTF?
Here's a 4-minute reimagined scene from The Odyssey. I used a lot of creative license, and this is nothing like the epic poem-sorry, Homer.
I think Christopher Nolan would approve of my casting. I hope you enjoy it. @imagine @grok https://t.co/CacifatVFk pic.twitter.com/tzG12Jv3o2
