Prince Andrew faces humiliation at historic Commons debate

Prince Andrew faces a pincer movement from parliament and Buckingham Palace to strip him of his dukedom and banish him from his 30-room mansion in Windsor.

MPs are set to discuss Andrew’s future, defying years of convention that usually prevents politicians from criticising the royal family.

The Liberal Democrats have signalled that they intend to use their next Opposition Day debate to allow members to consider officially removing Andrew’s Duke of York title and discuss his continued use of Royal Lodge. Although such debates are rarely binding, it will allow the Commons to “express its will” and heap pressure on the government and the King to act.

Carney tries to reassure Canadians after Trump threatens 10% tariff hike

Prime Minister Mark Carney said he stands ready to resume trade negotiations with the U.S. and tried to reassure Canadians that he is taking steps to shore up the country’s economy after U.S.

President Donald Trump threatened to hike tariffs by another 10 per cent.

Mr. Trump said this weekend he’s hiking tariffs on Canadian imports after an Ontario government TV ad critical of his protectionist levies ran during the first game of the World Series.

History shows that “Favourable Trade Deals” are by design consistently selective of those they favour.

Islam and the Bible are fuelling France’s ‘baptism boom’

You have probably heard that something extraordinary is happening in the Catholic Church in France. The French bishops’ conference announced in April that more than 10,000 adults were due to be baptised in 2025 – a 45 per cent increase on the year before.

It’s not just adult baptisms that are booming. A record 19,000 people, many young, attended this year’s Paris to Chartres pilgrimage. An unprecedented 13,500 high school students took part in the 2025 Lourdes FRAT pilgrimage, a major annual youth event.

‘Frustration’ With Canada Led to Trump Scrapping Talks, Not Just Ontario’s Ad: US Official

While U.S. President Donald Trump has singled out the Ontario government’s TV commercial as a reason to cancel trade talks with Canada, a senior White House official says it’s because there’s been growing frustration with Ottawa.

U.S. National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett spoke to reporters on Oct. 24 following Trump’s decision to terminate trade talks with Canada the previous day, saying that Canadians have been “very difficult to negotiate with.”

The Blackwashing of Britain

Minority status only appears to be a problem when non-whites are afflicted by it.

Of all the famous ‘conspiracy theories,’ the Great Replacement (that white populations in Western countries are being systematically replaced by non-white immigrants) is arguably the most well-known. I have always been reluctant to entertain it, partly on the grounds that conspiracies are usually oversimplifications of more complex issues, partly because political incompetence gets you to your destination just as quickly as conspiracy, and partly because the policy of Replacement Migration as “a solution to declining and ageing populations” was just about believable (no matter how moronic it might have been). Nonetheless, the fact that Le Grand Remplacement is playing out before our very eyes, conspiracy or not, is significant; a point far better elucidated by the term’s progenitor, Renaud Camus …

FUSS: Carney’s economic strategy signalling strikeouts, not home runs

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Carney delivered a lengthy speech spelling out his economic and fiscal strategy in advance of his government’s federal budget scheduled for Nov. 4. In front of an audience of university students, the prime minister made his pitch for “swinging for the fences” and “playing to win” through more government involvement in the economy and “generational investments” financed by large deficits.

Adventure tourists love Afghanistan. Are they a gift for the Taliban?

Boyle family – remember these idiots?

The country has become an unlikely destination for travel influencers — including women. But some have been accused of whitewashing the oppressive regime

Walking through central Kabul one afternoon, Julie Bold was stopped by the Taliban morality police. Her male friend, who she had met at the Afghan border with Tajikistan, was a few steps behind. Not realising Bond was from Wales, and a tourist, the Taliban surrounded her and began shouting at her for not wearing a facemask. When her friend caught up, the police realised she was a tourist and relented. “I can’t imagine how bad it would have been if I were a local woman,” Bold said.

Morons.

Almost one million Canadians have serious climate anxiety, study suggests

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has spoken about how at age 11, she was so depressed about climate change she stopped talking and eating and lost 10 kilograms in two months.

Here in Canada, a mother of two children in Salmon Arm, B.C., says her anxiety about the climate her kids will experience “becomes so heavy it’s suffocating.” A Calgary student says she started obsessing about food to cope with her anxiety about the state of our planet, and sometimes was “so overwhelmed with what food choices were best for the planet, I hardly ate at all.”

She’s not sick she’s an idiot.

‘I am not done’ – Kamala Harris tells BBC she may run for president again

Former US Vice-President Kamala Harris has told the BBC she may run again for the White House.

In her first UK interview, Harris said she would “possibly” be president one day and was confident there will be a woman in the White House in future.

Making her strongest suggestion to date that she will make another presidential bid in 2028 after losing to Donald Trump last year, Harris dismissed polls that put her as an outsider to become the Democrats’ pick for the next election.

Adam Pankratz: Canada can’t win a dust up with Trump

In the face of economic uncertainty, Canada and Canadian premiers need to focus on what they control. Since U.S. Donald Trump’s 51st State tweets back in February, Prime Minister Carney and the premiers have done their best to chest thump and keep their “elbows up” to show Canadians that we got this. Well, we don’t got this and we have so far done nothing. At best, things are no better, and they might be getting worse.

The real reason Trump is preparing for war with Venezuela

The drone circled high above the Caribbean Sea as its target skipped across the waves below carrying another bounty of drugs bound for America.

A sudden flash and the boat was engulfed in flames, its cargo disintegrated and its 11 crew dead.

Donald Trump had just fired the opening shot of a new campaign against “terrorist” cartels in Latin America. The strike, he declared, was “only the beginning”.
