Almost every week there is accumulating evidence that the decline of the Biden reelection campaign is accelerating. As the Biden polls deteriorate, the administration, instead of making policy course corrections that could be assumed to improve the president’s appeal to traditional Democratic voters, is doubling down on positions on which it knows the country disapproves.

The genocidal anti-Semitic attack on October 7, 2023 by the Islamic terrorists of Hamas at first aroused horror throughout the Western world. It took only a few hours, however for the horror to fade — long before Israel had even begun to respond. Demonstrations against Israel, and in support of the terrorist group, Hamas — sometimes “cleaned up” to be labeled “pro-Palestinian” — exploded just hours later on October 8, before hundreds of charred bodies had been removed from their homes. These well-planned and well-funded professional demonstrations, complete with instant Palestinian flags and, later, instant identical tents — rapidly metastasized throughout North America and Europe.

Bret Stephens warned his New York Times readers on Friday that Presidentish Joe Biden “just made his biggest blunder” when he paused delivery of more than 3,000 much-needed aerial bombs to Israel this week. Stephens is the NYT’s Conservativish™ writer, so he must drag his readers to the truth like a dog on a leash when he figures out you’re taking him to the vet.

After weeks of defending pro-hams campus protests, the media are now panicking that those same protests might hurt biden’s re-election chances. In the past week, a slew of political commentators have written articles comparing the current situation on college campuses to the anti-war protests of 1968, and warning that a summer of radical leftism may clinch the 2024 election for Donald Trump.
