Rebel Media no longer facing $5,500 elections fine threatened by Communist Party of Alberta

Alberta’s election commissioner is no longer pursuing a $5,500 fine against Rebel Media, instead settling on a reprimand, according to a court filing.

In December, Alberta’s Office of the Election Commissioner informed the far-right outlet that it was launching an investigation into a billboard near Innisfail after receiving a complaint from Elections Alberta.

The billboard calls for the firing of Alberta Education Minister David Eggen over provincial exam scores. It includes images of both Eggen and Premier Rachel Notley, as well as the web address FireEggen.ca, which leads to a campaign on Rebel Media’s website.

Rebel Media may face fine for billboard slamming Minister David Eggen

EDMONTON—Alberta’s elections commissioner is mulling a $5,500 fine for Rebel Media, accusing the far-right outlet of breaking the rules with a billboard slamming Education Minister David Eggen.

In a letter addressed to Rebel founder Ezra Levant and Alberta-based reporter Keean Bexte — though the letter spells it Keenan Beexte — the commissioner said a billboard the organization put up near Innisfail back in November counted as a political ad, and Rebel did not register as a third-party advertiser.

Rachel Notley is coming to kill The Rebel!

Rachel Notley and the NDP government of Alberta have finally made their move against The Rebel. They are prosecuting us for what we have said about them.

They’re using an enforcer, Melanie Malchuk, who used to work for the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the censors who prosecuted Ezra years ago for publishing the Danish cartoons of Mohammed. They have given her a special contract to lead the investigation against us.

Very stupid move by a dumb communist.

Liberals blacklisting conservative journalists from UN migration conference

Today I sent an urgent letter to Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s Immigration Minister. He has been attacking me in Parliament for my reporting on the UN Global Compact for Migration.

I normally would regard being attacked by Liberals as a badge of honour, but this time it’s different. Because right as that was happening, the United Nations refused to grant me and my cameraman journalistic accreditation to go to the UN conference on this Global Compact for Migration, next week in Morocco.

Tommy Robinson appeal: Watch all of Ezra Levant’s reports from London

Before entering the Old Bailey courthouse in London today, Tommy Robinson addressed a crowd of thousands of supporters.

“You are the enemy of the people,” he said to the assembled journalists, going on to describe their bias and the double standards they are held to by authorities.

Then he welcomed military veterans onstage and called them “the real heroes.”

Andrew Scheer: Let The Rebel report from the convention

Andrew Scheer has banned The Rebel from sending any reporters to the Conservative Party of Canada convention in Halifax.

WHO IS ALLOWED:

He’s invited the CBC, of course. Trudeau’s state broadcaster has waged a relentless war against the Conservative Party, they mock Andrew Scheer every single day, they engage in unethical journalism, they call conservatives “racist”, and they concoct fake news against anyone right wing. Same with Maclean’s, the Huffington Post, Vice, the Toronto Star — every single left-wing media organization, Scheer is allowing to report at the convention.

Scheer is proving to be a useless tit. Why must we suffer such milquetoast politicos in this country? He made one good speech after securing the leadership, everything afterwards has been careerist crap. No I will not support another crappy “leader”.
