Europe is changing rapidly, and we have all simply have to adapt. It has become far more diverse and multicultural than it once was, and that is, as we have been reminded constantly for decades now, something to celebrate. Sure, Europe is now less safe, more squalid, and far less inviting than it was just a few years ago, but that’s just racism, xenophobia, and “Islamophobia” talking. If we were simply less blinkered and mired in our own prejudices, we would be able to see the glories of the new Europe for what they are. A new 2026 annual report, “Scapegoats: Rights Violations Against Christians in Iran,” published by Article18 in partnership with Open Doors, Christian Solidarity Worldwide and Middle East Concern, sheds an alarming light on the persecutions of Christians in Iran.
