On July 18, 1994, a suicide bomber drove an explosives-laden truck into the Jewish community centre in Buenos Aires, killing 85 people and injuring hundreds in the deadliest terror attack in Argentina’s history.
In the devastating aftermath, Argentina’s Jewish community — the largest in South America — was left questioning its safety and future in their country. Deepening that sense of fear was the fact that those responsible remained unidentified for more than a decade. Prosecutors ultimately identified the suicide bomber as a 21-year-old Lebanese member of Hezbollah and concluded that the attack had been directed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The garment worn by some Muslim women is already banned in public places in the Scandinavian country, but the move would now expand the order into classrooms across Denmark.
In Denmark, the term ‘parallel societies’ refers to residential areas where more than half of inhabitants are from an immigrant background.

CARPAY: Policing ‘Islamophobia’ is a threat to free speech
Ontario’s Durham Regional Council recently directed police to monitor the speech of citizens to combat “Islamophobia.” The Council has requested quarterly updates from police “in respect of the Services’ efforts to address hate speech and related crimes.” The Council’s motion fails to provide concrete examples of “rhetoric that could be interpreted as promoting hostility or violence toward Muslim communities” that would fall within the ban.

In a disturbing case that has ignited fierce debate across Austria, a 12-year-old Syrian boy allegedly stabbed three teenage boys in a Vienna park, seriously injuring one with life-threatening wounds. Since he is below the country’s age of criminal responsibility of 14, the young suspect was released to his family shortly after police detained him without any charges.
