Two weeks after over 70,000 Muslim migrants invaded the Spanish city of Ceuta, the siege of the embattled city continues with unknown numbers of migrants still overrunning the area. While Morocco, which allowed the invasion to protest Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez’s recent visit to rival Algeria, is no longer allowing further invasions, many thousands of migrants were left behind.
Switzerland: 80.5% of North African asylum seekers have been accused of one or more crimes
Around 80.5 percent of asylum seekers from North African countries were accused of one or more offenses in Switzerland, underlining the massive amount of criminality present in this foreign population. The data comes from the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM).
For asylum seekers as a whole, the rate of criminality is much lower, with only 12.5 percent having been accused of one or more offenses. Nationals from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia are therefore extremely overrepresented compared to other asylum seeker groups.

Ceuta: Police Dismantles Migrant Camp After Twenty Days of Chaos
Spain’s National Police began clearing an improvised camp on the beaches of Ceuta on Thursday morning, where more than 4,000 migrants had remained since the mass crossing on July 30th.
Twenty days have passed since that border crisis, and the Spanish autonomous city is still struggling to return to a normality that remains distant.
German Hospitals Treat Rising Number of Victims of Knife Attacks
The number of people admitted to German trauma centres with life-threatening stab wounds linked to violent crime has risen sharply over the past decade, according to an analysis of data from hundreds of hospitals.
The study by the German Society for Trauma Surgery (DGU), published in the Deutsches Ärzteblatt, examined 3,664 seriously injured patients treated at 600 German hospitals between 2013 and 2024.
The number of such cases rose from 212 in 2013 to 336 in 2024, an increase of almost 59%. The figure peaked at 382 in 2023.

I don’t know how familiar readers are with the term ‘accelerationism’. It is generally used to describe a tendency on the left, though is increasingly heard on the right too.
The basic idea of accelerationism is that there are certain flaws in the societal structure which if pushed could bring things to their inevitable conclusion more quickly.
It is why there are so many people on the left of politics who say that sustainable government spending should be discouraged. It is not just because they are economically illiterate. What they really hope is that a speeded-up financial disaster will expose the ‘underlying contradictions of capitalism’, and we’ll all realise that Karl Marx was right and promptly vote for Zack Polanski or similar at the next election.

Vienna Calls in Police Reinforcements as Migrant Youth Crime Escalates
Forty-eight police officers from Austria’s federal states are to be deployed to Vienna for up to three months from September, as authorities respond to growing concerns over migrant youth crime and violence in the capital.
The reinforcements will support Vienna’s police, particularly during night-time operations and in areas identified as crime hotspots. Six officers will come from Carinthia, while others will be drawn from Salzburg, Styria, Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and Burgenland.

According to a new survey of 1,400 people aged 16 to 34, 78% of young women had also experienced sexual harassment on the street during the past year.
Lisa was fatally stabbed in the early hours of August 20, 2025 as she cycled home from Amsterdam.

A 22-year-old Somali small boat migrant stabbed an asylum hotel welfare officer with a large kitchen knife ‘multiple times’, a court has heard.
Abdifatah Yusuf Adani knifed Aaron Gomes at the Stanwell Hotel in west London at around 6.30pm on Saturday, August 15.
Armed officers from Surrey Police rushed to the hotel and found Mr Gomes, a man in his 30s, suffering from life-threatening injuries.

An Eritrean man who raped a pensioner outside a church can be pictured for the first time today.
Bruke Desalagne, 33, dragged the victim off a bench before taking him behind a hoarding at St John’s church in Harrow, north-west London, and raping him on a grass verge.
He continued with the horrific attack for 20 minutes before a witness saw the incident from her window and called police.
