Federal authorities are pushing back against claims that they did not attempt to take custody of an illegal alien charged with sexually assaulting a woman in Maine.
On June 16, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) apprehended Mahamat Djamous, a criminal illegal alien from Chad.
Djamous, who also uses the alias “Aguid Mahamat,” legally entered the U.S. on Nov. 11, 2024, with permission to stay in the country until May 10, 2025, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) explained to Border Hawk in a statement.

One of the men, 25-year-old Kambiz H., fled following the alleged crime and was arrested in London.
Kambiz, alongside Quais W., 20, and Burhanulla N., 19, are accused of having approached the victim at 4am on September 21, 2024, at the Leopoldstraße bus stop in Dortmund’s northern district.

Riot police were deployed at the border on Saturday as hundreds prepared to storm the Spanish territory, two weeks after tens of thousands made the crossing.

The Ford government is fuelling xenophobia by excluding temporary residents and undocumented migrants from accessing Ontario’s social assistance programs, critics say.
On Thursday, Children, Community and Social Services Minister Michael Parsa announced that the new rules, effective immediately, are meant to protect taxpayer dollars, ensuring Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program are focused on supporting only families and individuals who are legally authorized to live in Canada.
“They are promoting xenophobia with these speeches that migrants are stealing and leeching off the systems, which we are not,” said Luisa Ortiz-Garza, a migrant community co-ordinator at Parkdale Community Legal Services. “I think this is just an openly racist policy.”

Former UK minister suggests brothel needed near village housing 1,250 asylum seekers
CALGARY — Former Conservative minister Edwina Currie has drawn attention after suggesting that a brothel would be needed near a rural English village where about 1,200 young male asylum seekers are expected to be accommodated.
Currie made the remark during a discussion on Times Radio about asylum accommodation at a former military site near Little Piddington, Buckinghamshire.

Residents of Piddington, a tiny Oxfordshire village of around 350 people, have held a protest picnic and voted 96% in favour of a symbolic referendum to secede from the UK in opposition to Government plans to house 1,250 single adult male asylum seekers at a nearby former MoD depot. Women in the village say they are frightened to walk alone at night, with one 73-year-old resident saying: “I’m scared really – it breaks my heart.”

Authorities in Ceuta will round up migrants and hold them in warehouses before sending them back to Morocco.
It is estimated that more than 70,000 people flooded into the Spanish enclave last month, taking advantage of lax security and swimming around a border fence that separates Ceuta and Morocco.
Up to 100 people died during the mass influx which occurred over 48 hours, with Ceuta President Juan Jesús Vivas declaring a ‘humanitarian emergency’ as the enclave became overwhelmed with new arrivals.

A decade after the Brexit vote, YouGov has conducted a large-scale survey of the nation’s attitudes towards migration. Their work shows that the British people are significantly more negative about the subject than they were in 2016. On each occasion, people were asked ‘do you think the level of immigration over the past ten years has been good or bad for Britain?’ In 2016, a third of us thought it had been ‘mostly bad’, and 38 per cent said it was ‘both good and bad’. Now, 43 per cent of us said ‘mostly bad’, and just 29 per cent said ‘both good and bad’. Notably, the opinions of 2016 Remain voters have shifted the most: almost twice as many of them now say that migration has been bad for Britain.

Ontario ceases social assistance payments to illegal alien invaders
Ontario is enacting new rules for social assistance payments so people without legal immigration status in Canada cannot receive the benefits.
Premier Doug Ford first vowed to make the change following media reports about a tribunal ruling that awarded Ontario Works payments to a man who came to Canada decades ago on a temporary work permit that has since expired.
Ford wrote in a social media post last month his government would always support people who have fallen on hard times, but “that doesn’t include people living in Canada illegally.”
It’s a start. But Ford is well aware of the demographic that wins him election.
