“Anti-White Racism”

ESPN broadcaster Chiney Ogwumike has made a humiliating U-turn after the WNBA found no evidence of racism at the game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky earlier this month.

The league announced on Tuesday night that it could not substantiate claims that racist fan behavior took place during the game in Indianapolis on May 17.

Black Lives Matter Plaza is gone from Washington, D.C. The bold yellow letters that once protested police violence are now paved over, though police killings nationally are actually up.

The Justice Department has abandoned oversight agreements for police forces accused of racial bias, even as it begins an investigation of Chicago after the city’s Black mayor praised the number of Black people in top city jobs. The U.S. refugee resettlement program is effectively shut down, but white South Africans have been granted an exception.

Sunday is the fifth anniversary of George Floyd’s murder by a Minneapolis police officer, a searing moment of brutality that ignited what may have been the largest social movement in U.S. history. Five years later, the movement that his death helped begin may feel like it’s in reverse.

Research commissioned for White Men Can’t Work!, a five-part podcast and YouTube series hosted by the documentary maker Tim Samuels, suggested that nearly half of white men in the UK are self-censoring at work because they fear that saying the wrong thing could cost them their jobs. Some 41 per cent say they feel anxious that they can be sacked for doing or saying the wrong thing.

The WNBA is getting attention, but for all the wrong reasons. Caitlin Clark continues to shine, which has increased exposure to the league (I still can’t watch it); Barstool Sports’ Dave Portney sits courtside at some games. Clark’s improving visibility infuriates the ‘woke’ Left, who want a person of color leading the way because…of course, right?

One reason why the public turned on diversity, equity and inclusion was its insistence that roughly 70% of the country was stereotyped as victimizers by virtue of their skin color.

In contrast, the other “diverse” 30% were de facto considered the victimized.

In such absurd binaries, the left returned to the old “one-drop” rule of the antebellum South, suggesting that anyone with any non-white ancestry was a minority victim.
