Head of workplace rights agency urges white men to report discrimination

Andrea Lucas Anti-DEI

The head of the U.S. agency for enforcing workplace civil rights posted a social media call-out urging white men to come forward if they have experienced race or sex discrimination at work.

“Are you a white male who has experienced discrimination at work based on your race or sex? You may have a claim to recover money under federal civil rights laws,” U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Chair Andrea Lucas, a vocal critic of DEI, wrote on X Wednesday evening. The post urged eligible workers to reach out to the agency “as soon as possible” and referred users to the agency’s fact sheet on “DEI-related discrimination” for more information.

The better way no more: What the decline of the TTC says about Toronto

Like so many Toronto transit efforts the second entrance to Museum Station was a project that seemed forever under construction. Open now, commuters can exit the station directly into Queen’s Park. A subway-to-city transfer this elegant and unique, into the city’s premier park, with trees that have existed more than a century and before the subway was tunnelled underneath, is rare.

Bondi hero branded a ‘traitor’ in the Muslim world for saving Jewish lives

Bondi hero Ahmed Al Ahmed has been labelled a “traitor” in the Arab world for tackling a terrorist gunman and saving the lives of Jews at Bondi.

When the Facebook page for the Palestinian news source Ramallah News posted Mr Ahmed’s story, most of the hundreds of comments were hostile towards his lifesaving actions.

“Treason comes to you from the closest people” and “he sold himself and his life for the safety of the Jews” were among the comments.

“I wish it (the bullet) hit your heart,” one commentator said, while another said “May Allah not heal you”.

Canadians Favour Gripen over F-35

[Ottawa – December 17, 2025] As the debate over Canada’s next-generation fighter jet continues, Canadians are leaning decisively away from an all-F-35 future.

When asked which option is best for Canada – the Lockheed Martin F-35 or the Saab Gripen – seven in ten Canadians (72 per cent) support incorporating the Gripen into Canada’s fighter fleet, either by switching to the aircraft for all future purchases (43 per cent) or by maintaining a mixed fleet of both Gripens and F-35s (29 per cent). Just one in eight (13 per cent) say Canada should continue with the F-35 as its primary fighter jet.

British Academics Want to ‘Decolonise’ Female Genital Mutilation

A new paper in a highly regarded British Medical Journal publication has sparked outrage for attempting to launch a debate on the so-called “harms of the current global anti-female genital mutilation (FGM) campaign.”

It says coverage of the practice, where the female genitals are deliberately cut, injured or changed, often relies on “titillating sensationalism,” and complains that this “leads to vilification of migrants, infantilisation of people and their cultures, and failure to recognise the agency of the women concerned and their communities.”

Nato spending pledge is Trump’s biggest foreign policy success, Rutte tells BBC

Nato countries’ pledge to spend 5% of their economic output on defence is Donald Trump’s “biggest foreign policy success,” the alliance’s chief has said.

In an interview with the BBC, Mark Rutte said it was thanks to Donald Trump that Nato was “stronger than it ever was”, adding that Trump “is good news for collective defence, for Nato and for Ukraine”.

The US leader has harshly criticised European allies for spending very little on defence – even threatening to withdraw US protection if they fail to do so.
