As I noted in discussing Hilaria Baldwin yesterday, to be white today is to be evil, as far as the Western intelligentsia is concerned. And so it was not a big surprise when, a week before Christmas, the BBC World Service radio show Heart and Soul aired a segment called “Black Jesus,” and has since then rerun it more than once. It’s more “realistic,” the BBC assures us, to see Jesus as a “darker skinned Palestinian.” Realistic or no, it’s certainly in line with the mythology of the age, in which only those who are darker skinned could possibly be righteous. In such a context, how could the one whom Christians worship as the Savior of the world have anything but the darkest possible skin?

LONDON (AP) — With daily coronavirus infections surging as a result of a new virus variant, the British government faced mounting pressure Saturday from teachers’ unions to keep schools in England closed for at least another two weeks.

The government, which oversees schools in England, has already decided to keep all schools in London closed next week to try to stem new infections. Unions want the policy extended across the whole of England, expressing fears about the health of both teachers and children.

A federal appeals court has cleared the way for the only woman on federal death row to be executed before President-elect Joe Biden takes office.

The ruling, handed down Friday by a three-judge panel on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, concluded that a lower court judge erred when he vacated Lisa Montgomery´s execution date in an order last week.

“My good-faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical Antifa and anarchists,” Wheeler said in a New Year’s Day press conference. “In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools and to push the limits of the tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”

Communist China: Paying US Media to Publish Propaganda

‘Borrowing a Boat to Go Out on the Ocean’

The Chinese government-controlled English language newspaper, China Daily, in 2020 paid a variety of US media outlets nearly $2 million for publishing propaganda from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), according to a disclosure that China Daily filed in late November with the US Justice Department under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), according to Daily Caller.

China Daily has reportedly been registered as a foreign agent under FARA since 1983, which means it is required to report its activities and financial transactions to the Justice Department.

In June, China Daily filed a disclosure with the Justice Department showing that, since November 2016, it had paid $19 million to U.S. media outlets, including $12 million to newspapers such as the Washington Post and New York Times. Other newspapers included the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Seattle Times, Houston Chronicle and Foreign Policy.

Georgia Election Data Shows 17,650 Votes Switched From Trump to Biden: Data Scientists

Georgia election data indicates 17,650 votes were switched from President Donald Trump to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, data scientists testified on Wednesday during a state Senate hearing.

A team led by Lynda McLaughlin, along with data scientists Justin Mealey and Dave Lobue, presented the results before the Georgia Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Elections.

Mealey worked as an electronic warfare technician in the U.S. Navy for nine and a half years and was a former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) contractor as a data analyst and programmer for the National Counterterrorism Center. He currently works for one of the “Big Four” accounting firms as a programmer.

Poilievre: “Well, the minister says that the bank is accountable to the people. We are the people’s representatives. Surely, we should know. So, where did the $180 million go?”

Freeland: “Mister Chair, I want to be very clear that it is undermining of our economy … to be … raising questions in the minds of Canadians about the independence of the Bank of Canada. That is not responsible behaviour.”

If the employee has the option of coming to the office at the same remuneration, there is nothing illegal, nor is it a constructive dismissal for employers to offer this alternative.

Interesting how the pandemic has made things “easier” for the corporate class.
