Canada’s vaccine-procurement efforts have been shrouded in unjustified secrecy

Canada’s vaccine-procurement efforts have been shrouded in unjustified secrecy

Despite the enthusiasm Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tried to bring to his announcement Tuesday, when he said that Canada had struck a deal to manufacture millions of COVID-19 vaccines at home, the agreement won’t do much to get us out of the acute phase of this pandemic.

That’s because the deal with Novavax to churn out its vaccine at Canada’s National Research Council (NRC) in Montreal is contingent on the completion of a new production centre, which won’t be finished until summer or early fall.

Tucker Carlson slams NYU’s ‘farcical’ study saying claims of conservative ‘censorship’ on social media are ‘disinformation’

Tucker Carlson has labelled ‘farcical’ a New York University study into censorship of conservatives on social media, after the authors admitted there was no data to support their findings.

On Monday NYU researchers published ‘False Accusation: The Unfounded Claim that Social Media Companies Censor Conservatives.’

In their report, the authors stated that claims of anti-conservative bias are ‘a form of disinformation: a falsehood with no reliable evidence to support it.’

Canadian government lists Proud Boys as a terrorist group

The Canadian government will list the far-right Proud Boys movement as a terrorist group, the Star has learned.

The loosely-organized “Western chauvinist” group is expected to be formally added to Canada’s “terrorist entity” list later today.

Oh yea, they’re right up there with Islam as a source of terror activities. This is the terrorism of politics.

‘Worrying’ new mutation detected in UK COVID-19 variant

The highly-contagious COVID-19 variant that first emerged in the United Kingdom appears to have evolved again to include a “worrying” new mutation, researchers said.

…Experts now fear that E484K has allowed the South Africa and Brazil strains to get past the natural antibodies of those who have already recovered from becoming infected in the first wave.

Weapons of Mask Distraction – If you don’t wear three masks, you’re killing people.

After running on a promise to fix the pandemic, Biden admitted, “there’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.”

Except wear two masks.

“To Prevent COVID, wear 2 masks,” The Los Angeles Times declares. “Time to double,” The Washington Post urges. “Health authority recommends Laredoans limit leaving their homes, or wear two masks if they must,” The Laredo Morning Times warns.

Coca Cola Abandons American Ideas

Now that we have entered the new world of diversity, inclusion and equity, the acronym DIE aptly applies.  While schools have long been involved in these activities, businesses have now voluntarily adopted or been forced to accept this left-wing ideology as well.

Consequently, Coca-Cola has sent out notices to law firms demanding that the company will “require diversity among law firms who bill it for work in the United States and reduce payments if they do not comply.”

GUNTER: Vaccine failure is Trudeau’s greatest scandal

Last week I wrote that Canada was No. 18 in vaccinating its population. As of Monday, according to Oxford University’s vaccine tracker, Canada had dropped to No. 28.

On Sunday, the U.S. inoculated 1.5 million people. On a per capita basis, the Brits did even better; they got 600,000 vaccinated.

We’d be lost without borders – The illusion of a borderless world has been exposed by the coronavirus epidemic

It’s usually the smaller items that convey the biggest news. A few years ago Le Monde reported a study that found seven out of ten French people to be living in the region of France in which they were born. That finding surprised many people, including the reporter involved. After all, we think we live in a transitory world, yet a huge number of people still spend their entire lives close to home. Around 60% of British people live no more than 30 miles from where they resided as fourteen-year-olds.

Is AOC the most dangerous politician in America?

Since the Capitol riot she has been whipping up a culture of fear that could have dire consequences for liberty.

Here’s what’s funny about The Squad, the toytown radicals in the Democratic Party who titillate the Twitterati but piss off mostly everyone else. These are the kind of people who would have been Bush-bashers back in the 2000s, shaking their heads at the post-9/11 ‘culture of fear’ and warning against the rash introduction of illiberal anti-terror laws. And yet today these people are agitating for a new war on terror, for an all-out crusade against ‘domestic terrorism’, for an unforgiving, even McCarthyite offensive against an enemy that is apparently so terrifying, so evil, that even America’s constitutional norms must be ripped up in the battle against it.

Rupa Subramanya: Chrystia Freeland’s side gig with the WEF is endangering Canadian democracy

Rupa Subramanya: Chrystia Freeland’s side gig with the WEF is endangering Canadian democracy

There’s no need to invent conspiracy theories. The attempt by global elites to subvert local democracy is fully on and in plain view

The World Economic Forum (WEF), which has met at the Swiss ski resort of Davos every year since its creation in 1971 by German academic and entrepreneur Klaus Schwab, was forced to convert its annual schmoozefest into a virtual event this year due to COVID-19. Of note on the main agenda was a “stakeholder capitalism” panel, which included Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Chrystia Freeland. The former-journalist-turned-politician has been a fixture at the WEF for years. Rubbing shoulders at Davos with the world’s rich, famous and powerful was one of the inspirations for her 2012 book, Plutocrats: The Rise of the New Global Super-Rich and the Fall of Everyone Else.

Sweden to Teach “Migrants” That Violence, Female Genital Mutilation, and Child Marriage are Wrong

The Swedish government has decided that all asylum seekers who come to the country in the future will undergo a mandatory social introduction course shortly after their arrival.

The Swedish Migration Board has been tasked with preparing an introductory course that will inform the new arrivals about the asylum process, Swedish legislation, and the country’s democratic norms and values. This includes information on the rules that apply to so-called “honour-related” violence and oppression as well as protection from discrimination and abuse.
