Democrats Pressure Google to ‘Fix’ Abortion Searches That Don’t Send Women to an Abortionist

Gaming Google’s search algorithms is an art form that few have mastered, although many have claimed otherwise. The fact is, those algorithms are proprietary information and are tailored to the individual user.

Democrats and abortionists are angry at how Google’s search engine allows some pregnant women to escape the clutches of abortionists by listing links to “pregnancy crisis centers” instead of NARAL-approved abortion providers.

Swimming’s world governing body stops transgender swimmers from competing in women’s elite events

Fina, swimming’s world governing body, has voted to stop transgender athletes from competing in women’s elite races if they have gone through any part of the process of male puberty.

The new policy requires transgender competitors to have completed their transition by the age of 12 in order to be able to compete in women’s competitions.

Fina will also aim to establish an ‘open’ category at competitions for swimmers whose gender identity is different than their birth sex.

Heartbroken mother of California cop shot dead with his partner by criminal on probation for a prior gun charge hits out at woke Soros backed Los Angeles DA George Gascón

The heartbroken mother of fallen Los Angeles police officer killed earlier this week condemned Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s woke policies claiming that her son would still be alive today if suspect wasn’t back on the streets.

Olga Garcia, the mother of slain El Monte Police Officer Joseph Anthony Santana, 31, was shot dead and his partner Cpl. Michael Domingo Paredes, 42, on Tuesday afternoon in a motel shootout in suburban Los Angeles.

‘I blame the death of my son and his partner on Gascón,’ Garcia said through tears at a news conference Friday outside police headquarters, Spectrum1 News reported.

Germany to fire up coal plants as Russia turns down the gas

Germany must limit its use of gas for electricity production and prioritize the filling of storage facilities to compensate for a drop in supply from Russia, Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Sunday.

In a move that goes against the principles of his environmentally-friendly Green Party, the country will also have to increase the burning of coal, Habeck said.

Russian gas company Gazprom announced last week that it was reducing supplies through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline for technical reasons, saying there had been delays in the repair of compressor turbines by the German company Siemens Energy.

Inside the Taliban’s new drugs hell

The country’s heroin reaches all corners of the world, but it is inside Afghanistan itself that a catastrophe of addiction is unfolding

The dark sea of huddled forms is almost impossible to take in at first.

The grimy, bent figures resemble residents of some vast, squalid dungeon. In the filthy riverbed nearby, scattered lifeless figures look like the aftermath of a battle, or an air crash.

There are close to 1,000 drug addicts sheltering under this bridge in a western neighbourhood of the Afghan capital.

Might Vladimir Putin use a nuclear weapon? The calculations are changing

The nuclear bluster and threats from many of those connected to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine have, at times, been bone-chilling.

“The horsemen of the apocalypse” are on their way, Dmitry Medvedev warned this past week. The former Russian president, whom many European countries once considered to be relatively friendly to the West, had days earlier condemned the leaders of those same countries, vowing to “do everything to make them disappear.”

But as President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine reaches the four-month mark, there have also been notable shifts in how both sides may be assessing the so-called nuclear “red lines.”

British Columbia’s rejection of Britain

AFTER thirteen years in Northern Ireland where I began, I’ve returned to British Columbia and its capital Victoria on Vancouver Island. In my absence the city has undergone a sea-change.

When I left, the vast Empress Hotel on the harbour was the jewel in the city’s tourist crown. Opened in 1908, it was one of the majestic railhead hotels built across the country by the Canadian Pacific Railway whose steel rails sewed this sprawling landmass together.

NATO Warns Ukraine Fighting Could Last Years As Russians Pound Eastern Cities

NATO’s secretary-general has warned that the war in Ukraine could go on for years and urged the supply of state-of-the-art weapons to Kyiv even if “costs are high,” as Ukraine’s allies sought to preempt any international “fatigue” nearly four months into Russia’s unprovoked invasion.

The cautions came as Russia stepped up its offensives against Syevyerodonetsk and other eastern Ukrainian cities and with the European Union readying for a recommendation next week to make Ukraine a candidate to join the bloc.

‘I will win this’: Charest says Conservatives need a ‘unifier’

Two years ago, Jean Charest suggested the Conservative Party had changed from what he once knew.

Today, he’s seeking to lead it. In an interview with The West Block’s Mercedes Stephenson, Charest remained adamant he can win the party’s leadership race, despite claims from his rivals that they have signed up hundreds of thousands of members.

Delusional? Given the way the last two CPC leaderships have turned out anything is possible.

Here’s why a Pierre Poilievre victory in the Conservative leadership race may not be a given

OTTAWA — On the surface, the math looks obvious: Conservative leadership candidate Pierre Poilievre claims his supporters equal roughly half of the total number of people expected to be eligible to vote in the party’s leadership race.

So even though the ballots aren’t even in the mail and the victor won’t be announced until Sept. 10, is the race already over?

It’s not quite that simple.

WHO chief ‘believes Covid DID leak from Wuhan lab’ after a ‘catastrophic accident’ in 2019 despite publicly maintaining ‘all hypotheses remain on the table’

Research into gain-of function at Wuhan Institute of Virology most likely cause of pandemic.

The head of the World Health Organisation privately believes the Covid pandemic started following a leak from a Chinese laboratory, a senior Government source claims.

While publicly the group maintains that ‘all hypotheses remain on the table’ about the origins of Covid, the source said Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), had recently confided to a senior European politician that the most likely explanation was a catastrophic accident at a laboratory in Wuhan, where infections first spread during late 2019.

Americans Warned of China Potentially Spying via Smart Coffee Makers: Researcher

U.S.-based researcher Christopher Balding says he found evidence that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is obtaining data via smart coffee machines that are made in China, warning that such tactics may be employed against U.S. consumers.

Balding, who released a report via New Kite Data Labs, said issues with the Chinese internet-connected coffee machines are allowing CCP officials to collect data on Americans.
