China’s Reach in Canada: Former RCMP National Director Calls for Urgent Action

Despite years of Beijing’s efforts to expand its influence in Canada, the country has yet to fully recognize or counter the threat the communist regime poses to its future, according to a former RCMP officer.

Garry Clement, former national director for the RCMP’s Proceeds of Crime program, has been investigating transnational crime for decades. He describes the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as the “biggest transnational organized crime group in the world,” and says that despite growing evidence of its operatives, many in positions of authority in Canada appear unwilling to acknowledge the threat or take action.

The Foreign Office said it was “very concerned” for the welfare of more than 400 activists including a former RAF pilot set to be taken to a desert prison by Israel after they attempted to deliver aid to Gaza on Greta Thunberg’s flotilla.

Dozens of activists taken off a flotilla of yachts in international waters by Israeli commandos on Wednesday night and Thursday morning will be incarcerated at the notorious Ketziot prison in the Negev desert where guards have been accused of violent treatment towards Palestinian inmates.

Sheryl Saperia: Why has Canada not listed all the groups that attacked on October 7 as terrorists?

U.S. President Donald Trump’s newly unveiled Gaza peace plan has thrown the spotlight back on international diplomacy. Israel has already said yes; the world now waits to see whether Hamas will do the same. Canada, meanwhile, prematurely recognized Palestinian statehood without imposing mandatory conditions.

Last week in these pages, I argued that the newly recognized state of Palestine should be designated as a state supporter of terrorism by the Carney government. At a minimum, if Ottawa wants to demonstrate moral clarity, it could start by listing as a terrorist organization every group found to have participated in the October 7 massacre.

Jihad and Jihad Dad

The father of the Manchester synagogue attacker praised the Oct 7 Hamas terrorists as “Allah’s men on earth”.

Mr Al-Shamie, a trauma surgeon who lived in council housing in Britain, said in his post on the day of the attack that the Hamas terrorists who had infiltrated the Jewish state on motorbikes and paragliders had “proved beyond a shadow of a doubt” that Israel would be destroyed eventually.

Government workers in Canada enjoy higher wages than private-sector counterparts

In its upcoming federal budget, in an attempt to offset some of the massive spending commitments it’s made in recent months, the Carney government may shrink the size of the federal public service. But it should also bring government-sector wages in Canada more in line with private-sector wages.

Any talk of reducing wages — either in government or the private sector — will always generate controversy. And understandably so, as people’s jobs and wages are at stake. Therefore, it’s critical to examine the numbers so Canadians and policymakers can better understand the reality of the situation.

The “Strong Borders Act,” Misses the Mark — Only Deep Legal Reforms Will Confront Canada’s Fentanyl Networks:

OTTAWA — Bill C-2, Ottawa’s so-called “Strong Borders Act,” promises to secure Canada’s frontiers with new surveillance powers, sweeping ministerial discretion, and higher penalties. But as veteran Canadian investigators know, the bill misses the point. It is an omnibus solution that expands the state’s reach online, while leaving untouched the very legal choke points that have made Canada a permissive financial platform and fentanyl laboratory for cartels, Triads, and state-linked terror networks.
