Carney’s military spending binge will leave Canadians worse off and divided

At last! Finally, we’re seeing some real nation-building by Prime Minister Mark Carney.

I’m referring, of course, to his decision to extend the national school lunch program.

This is an excellent way to ensure Canadian schoolchildren — who represent the future of our country — aren’t drifting off to sleep in class because they’re hungry. (An astounding 2.5 million Canadian children live in food-insecure households.)

Hook-Handed Terror Imam Fights Toilet Jihad in Prison

How many Islamic toilets is a Muslim terrorist entitled to? At least two.

That’s the ruling by a U.S. federal judge in the long running saga of a UK Muslim terror imam locked up in a Colorado prison who called for murdering non-Muslims and wants those same non-Muslims to tend to the ‘purity’ of his nether regions so he can properly pray to ‘Allah’.

The betrayal of Samuel Paty

Five years on, Europe is appeasing the Islamist intolerance that led to his beheading.

Five years ago today, in a quiet Parisian suburb in broad daylight, teacher Samuel Paty was beheaded. His killer, Abdullah Anzarov, a self-described ‘servant of Allah’, had hoped to send a message to ‘the infidel Macron’. ‘I executed one of your hellhounds’, he boasted on social media, his post accompanied by a photo of Paty’s severed head.

‘It’s time to talk’: Carney rules out hitting the U.S. with retaliatory tariffs

Prime Minister Mark Carney said Thursday his government is not considering hitting American goods with more retaliatory tariffs, even as the trade war rages on, because there are signs that the bilateral talks on relief are headed in the right direction.

Carney is facing pressure from some premiers, like Ontario’s Doug Ford, and organized labour to take on U.S. President Donald Trump as he ramps up his tariffs on critical sectors — levies that have drawn jobs and investment away from Canada.

You have to shame Grok in order to get anything close to a realistic portrait of Carney, or any other figure on the Liberal Left it seems.

Vatican ‘grants request for Muslim prayer room’

The Vatican has granted Muslim scholars’ request for a prayer room.

In an interview with Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Father Giacomo Cardinali, the Vice Prefect of the Vatican Library, said the ancient institution is now allowing academics an area to practice their own religion onsite.

He said: ‘Some Muslim scholars asked us for a room with a prayer rug, and we gave it to them.’

Pierre Poilievre says he’d stand up to Donald Trump while taking a page from his playbook

Pierre Poilievre put out a series of holiday-themed posts on social media over the Thanksgiving weekend — photos of the family, praise for the work being done by food banks.

One post, however, departed from all the warm fuzziness. It was an endorsement of a petition from one of his MPs calling for an end to diversity, equity and inclusion programs in government. ”Sign here. End DEI. Restore the merit principle,” the Conservative leader said.

Trump to meet Putin after President threatened to send Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine

Donald Trump has said that he will meet with Vladimir Putin in Hungary to discuss ending the Ukraine war after the two leaders held a phone call on Thursday.

The date is yet to be determined. The call came after Trump threatened to send long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine and as the president prepares to welcome Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelensky to the White House on Friday.

The US leader posted on his Truth Social platform: ‘I am speaking to President Putin now. The conversation is ongoing, a lengthy one, and I will report the contents, as will President Putin, at its conclusion. Thank you for your attention to this matter!’

Poilievre blasts ‘despicable’ RCMP leadership, accuses Mounties of covering up for Trudeau

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre took aim at the RCMP’s independence in a recent interview, calling the national police force’s leadership “despicable” and accused the national police force of covering up for the Liberal government and former prime minister Justin Trudeau.

“If the RCMP had been doing its job and not covering up for him, then he would have been criminally charged,” the Opposition leader said in an interview posted to YouTube on Wednesday.

Speaking to the YouTube channel Northern Perspective, Poilievre said Trudeau broke the law when he took a free vacation, a reference to the 2016 Aga Khan scandal.

Toronto renters should make about $44 hourly to comfortably afford a one-bedroom apartment: report

If a renter in Toronto wants to dedicate about a third of their paycheque to a one-bedroom apartment each month, they should be making roughly $44 an hour.

That’s according to Zoocasa, a real estate website, which crunched the numbers after several provinces recently raised their minimum wages to keep pace with the rising cost of living.

As of Oct. 1, Ontario raised that wage to $17.60 per hour, reflecting a $0.40 increase from the previous rate.

Trump Is Europe’s Alarm Clock

His return is shaking Europe awake from decades of elitist policies and woke ideology.

Europe today is the spoiled brat of the West. The sulky teenager who rebels against everything he’s supposed to obey, who governs from daydreams divorced from reality, and who’s forever trying to dodge responsibility. Europe reminds me of myself at 15, when I used to hide in my room playing video games just to avoid going out to buy bread. My life was pure misery: Dad always found me. Then I fell in love with the new baker. I still remember those blue eyes. My parents were astonished that I suddenly wanted to buy bread six times a day. She was drop-dead gorgeous. But that’s another story.

Canterbury Cathedral Surrenders to the Vandals

If any institution in the world provides evidence of Freud’s concept of the death instinct, it is the Church of England. With unfailing aim, it does whatever will hasten its demise, already quite advanced. Shortly after it appointed Sarah Mullally as Arch Social Worker (formerly Archbishop) of Canterbury, it proceeded to vandalize its mother church, Canterbury Cathedral, not by forbidding but by actually commissioning graffiti on its ancient columns, incensing almost everyone but a small coterie of evangelical Wokeists.
