Cambridge’s Farah Ahmed: study engineering ‘to produce weaponry for Jihad

Cambridge University’s education faculty – former home of Jason Arday – has appointed as assistant research professor a woman who wrote that Muslims should study engineering and computers ‘to produce advanced weaponry for Jihad in order that the deen [Islam] may dominate over all other deens.’

This is the fourth in our series of articles about Farah Ahmed, a former activist in the racist, extremist and separatist group Hizb ut Tahrir, now banned as a terror organisation, who has been given a senior role by Cambridge training the future leaders of the teaching profession.

Reza Gharehchahi says he would be the first to call out the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist group.

Since coming to Canada on a study permit in 2022, the Iranian has signed petitions and joined political rallies to condemn the IRGC-backed regime in Tehran, speaking out for the voiceless back home, including two close friends he says were killed in government crackdowns.

DeSantis cuts tattoos, tanning beds, and tobacco from welfare benefits list

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) on Monday announced reforms are coming to some welfare benefits, restricting them from being spent on “unnecessary” items.

DeSantis, who is viewed as a possible 2028 presidential contender, said he is working with the Trump administration to amend the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families State Plan, spurring changes to what welfare recipients can spend their Temporary Cash Assistance benefits on. Once implemented, the move would bar funds from being spent on items ranging from vaping products to pornography.
