Income gap is at ‘record high’ amid weakening economy, StatCan says

The income gap in Canada remains at a “record high,” according to newly released data, which highlights the growing divide between the wealthiest groups and those struggling with affordability — especially the youngest households.

In addition, the wealthiest households continue to hold the vast majority of all wealth in Canada, and that trend continues to grow.

Europe must wake up – or the next October 7 will be on its soil

Hamas support rally Toronto

A Western pathology has shown its face: passion and admiration for the barbarians, hidden under the flag of pity. Little do they know that the barbarians will soon turn on them.

7.000 Islamists took part. They invaded Israel by land, sea and air. Among them, 3,800 members of Hamas’s elite forces, Nukhba, and its Al-Qassam Brigades, and 2,200 members of other terrorist armies, like the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Another 1,000 pogromists remained in Gaza to launch rockets at Israel.

1,182 Israelis dead. Another 4,000 were injured. Of the dead, 863 were civilians. 251 people were abducted, 210 of whom are alive, 41 dead.

Two years have passed and there is still new footage we’ve never seen. Now you can see footage of the death squads kidnapping children from the Be’eri kibbutz.

Canada should seek central role for NORAD in Golden Dome or risk marginalization, expert says

Canada and the North American military command it shares with the United States risk being marginalized if Ottawa fails to ensure a commanding role for NORAD in Donald Trump’s proposed Golden Dome missile-defence project, a Commons committee heard Thursday.

This week, the President announced that the United States was working with Canada on the project to combine all the U.S.’s existing missile defences and expand them, including with interceptors in outer space, to better counter ballistic, cruise and hypersonic missiles.

Israeli troops withdraw from Gaza, Canadians react as first phase of peace deal begins

Israeli troops are withdrawing from Gaza as the first phase of a peace deal to end the war with Hamas begins, the military says.

The ceasefire agreement came into effect at midnight on Thursday, Israel Defense Forces said in a post on X. Since then, troops have been “positioning themselves along the updated deployment lines in preparation for the ceasefire agreement and the return of hostages.” There are still troops deployed in the area, it said, who will “continue to remove any immediate threat.”

Jens Stoltenberg: Why did I flatter Trump? I wanted to save Nato

Trump and weasel Jens Stoltenberg

“It’s important to understand that President Trump is a different politician than most leaders we work with in Nato,” says Jens Stoltenberg. It would be tempting to say this is both obvious and an understatement, but Stoltenberg knows better than most exactly how different Trump is.

As secretary-general of Nato from 2014 until last year, he played a critical role in holding the alliance together when he feared it might collapse during Trump’s first term.

Inspections of temporary foreign worker employers in Canada have plummeted — despite a surge of workers

The number of inspections of employers hiring temporary foreign workers has plummeted over the past five years — with most conducted without inspectors ever setting foot on worksites — even as the number of migrant workers and reports of abuse have surged, according to government data obtained by the Star.

Annual inspections fell 57 per cent, from 3,365 in 2020 to 1,435 in 2024, according to Employment and Social Development Canada, the department that oversees the temporary foreign worker (TFW) program.

Towards a Left-Wing Reich in Germany?

Germany today offers the world a disturbing spectacle: a state in its death throes which, under the guise of democratic virtue, is sinking into authoritarianism. The erosion of civil liberties is not occurring through a coup d’état, but by the slow accumulation of administrative, legal and police measures that shape the contours of a dictatorship as implacable as it is convinced of its own virtue.

America’s Manufacturing Resurgence Will Be Powered by These Robots

In small factories across America, agile automatons are making everything from parts for AI supercomputers to the hulls of America’s future autonomous naval weapons.
Once a luxury reserved for big manufacturers, smaller, smarter, more flexible and less expensive “cobots”—collaborative robots—are bringing automation to every fabricator, no matter the size.

These robots aren’t just nice to have. The slow, fragile recovery of American goods production wouldn’t be possible without them.

The number of U.S. companies that make physical things reached a low point in 2014 and has grown since then. Yet they are trapped in a never-ending labor shortage as skilled workers age out, and young people fail to take their place.

Robots? Who needs em’ Canada will import unskilled 3rd World labour.
